Moments after Donald Trump was announced the projected winner of the Indiana primary, GOP candidate Ted Cruz ended his bid for the presidency.
"From the beginning, I've said that I would continue on as long as there was a viable path to victory. Tonight, I'm sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed. Together, we left it all on the field in Indiana. We gave it everything we've got. But the voters chose another path. And so with a heavy heart, but with boundless optimism for the long-term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign."

The crowd shouted "Never Trump" after Cruz announced his campaign suspension.
Following the announcement, the Texas senator "accidentally" elbowed his wife Heidi in the face.

Heidi seemed to be okay, but that didn't stop the internet from spreading the video like wildfire. Memes have even popped up around the internet.

My Two Cents

I could not be happier about this news. Ted Cruz is a horrible excuse for a human being and I'm glad he realized that there is no way in hell that he can become president.

This man lost all of my respect several months ago when he stated that he would never provide gluten free options to military personnel with Celiac disease. I have Celiac disease, and gluten free food is our only option to survive. If he had any respect for our amazing military, he would have their best interests at heart and provide them with anything they need in order to stay well. He also denounced Celiac disease as a fake illness. People have died from this disease. If anything is fake, it's Ted Cruz.
Good riddance, idiot.
