Clinton in slim lead over Trump on day before Election Day.

Image
Photo Credit: civilbeat According to the latest CBS News poll, Democrat Hillary Clinton has gained  a 4 point lead over Republican Donald Trump. The poll has Clinton at 45%, whereas Trump is at 41%. In recent weeks, Trump had been in the lead, due to questions regarding the Clinton email controversy. Clinton has since been cleared of any wrongdoing, which probably helped her regain the lead in the election. Libertarian hopeful Gary Johnson is at 5%, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein is at 2%. Tomorrow's election is probably the most important election in our country's recent history. Many people have a lot to lose if Trump wins the election. We also have Clinton, who most people deem untrustworthy. If anyone here in America is thinking about sitting out of tomorrow's important election, I urge you to reconsider. Every vote counts, especially in this tight election. Right now, the pendulum can swing either way. Your vote could determine the election. Keep that in...

Countdown to Election Day: My Two Cents

Image
Photo Credit: hankewitz A week from today, the biggest election in our lives will be here. Millions of stressed out Americans will be venturing to the polls and will be casting their vote for the next POTUS. Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have traded shade in political rallies and debates. As of this publication, Donald Trump leads by 1% in National Polls. Along with millions of people, this terrifies the hell out of me. As a woman, I feel that a Trump leadership would set us back about 100+ years. Trump voters want him to overturn Roe VS. Wade, and they want Trump to overturn a woman's right to vote. Not only do I feel terrified as a woman, I feel terrified as a chronically ill and disabled woman. I am low-income and am on state insurance. Trump wants to overturn these programs that people like me need in order to survive. I have been struggling with auto-immune illnesses for years, and I need medication in order to stay in check. Also, I'm disabled. I developed...

'Boy Meets World' character running for President!

Image
Photo Credit: Yahoo via ew.com Torn between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton? Let me introduce you to Eric Matthews (played by Will Friedle). His credentials include being mayor of St. Upidtown, and a stint in the Senate. So why is the older Matthews brother casting his name in the race so late? Well, he said that he "didn't know there was an election happening." Remember to vote for Eric Matthews on Election Day. He is a far better choice than Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton! Watch his official announcement below: #ImWithEric! PS- He is scandal-free. He has respect for women, and he has no email scandals whatsoever.

The Dalai Lama mocking Donald Trump is the best thing you will see in your lifetime!

Image
On Thursday, the great and wise Dalai Lama spoke to Good Morning Britain about Donald Trump. During the interview, he did an amazingly accurate impression of the US Republican presidential nominee. First he mocks Trump's head, and then he mimicked Trump's mouth. See for yourself. It's the greatest thing ever! Blessings to you Dalai Lama! Namaste! <3 The Guardian was first to report on this topic.

Bernie Sanders calls for DNC chairwoman to resign.

Image
Photo Credit: therightscoop On Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders asked for Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz's resignation. The request comes after emails questioning Sanders' campaign and religion were leaked to the public. On Sunday's installment of "This Week," Sanders made his feelings clear about the emails, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz" "She should not be chair of the DNC, and I think these emails reiterate that reason why she should not be chair. I think she should resign, period, and I think we need a new chair that's going to lead us in a new direction." For some time, Sanders had questioned the DNC's motives, and his theories about the DNC became clear when he saw the emails. "Well, I think I told you a long time ago that the DNC was not running a fair operation — that they were supporting Secretary Clinton. So what I suggested to be true six months ago turns out, in fact, to be true. I...

Ted Cruz does not endorse Donald Trump, and the crowd loses it!

Image
Yesterday, Republican senator Ted Cruz took the stage to announce that he will not be endorsing Presidential Republican nominee Donald Trump. The reaction Ted Cruz received was melodic booing from the audience. Cruz had signed a pledge to support the party's nominee. However, Cruz broke that pledge after Trump made horrifying comments about Cruz's father and wife. Trump accused Cruz's father of being a part of the John F. Kennedy assassination. Donald Trump also took 'below the belt' jabs at Ted Cruz's wife Heidi, calling her 'homely.' Trump shared a rather unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz on Twitter, and then shared a photo of his own wife, Melania Trump. The public mocking lasted for quite a while. On Thursday morning, Cruz met with his state's GOP delegation, and said this: "I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father. That pledge was not a blanket commitment that if you go and slander and atta...

Mike Pence: What we need to know about Donald Trump's VP pick.

Image
On Friday morning, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump announced Indiana governor Mike Pence as his running mate. The choice came as a surprise to both the left and right, since Mike Pence is known for his old-school republican extremism. We all know that Trump is wishy-washy (which makes him all the more dangerous for this country, and the world). In Indiana, he is known for abortion bill HB1337. HB 1337 was among the most horrendous anti-abortion bills to ever be presented in this country. The bill banned women from seeking abortions based on fetal anomaly, gender, and race. The bill also required women to bury or cremate the fetus once it was aborted. The passing of this bill angered women so much, that some made a group called "Periods for Pence." These women would call and tweet Pence, detailing their menstrual cycles (which is genius in my opinion, LOL). Pence was also behind the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This bill would allow business owners to discri...

Is Bernie Sanders planning to endorse Hillary Clinton on Tuesday?

Image
Photo Credit: abcnews According to several reports, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is expected to endorse presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Tuesday. According to Democrats involved in the planning, both the Sanders camp and the Clinton camp have been meeting to discuss how to successfully defeat presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. On Thursday, Bernie Sanders sat down with Bloomberg and came pretty damn close to endorsing Hillary Clinton: "We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. I don’t honestly know how we would survive four years of a Donald Trump as president." This news comes on the heels of Sanders' unfortunate experience earlier this week, when Bernie Sanders was booed by House Democrats for still being in the race and not backing Hillary Clinton. For weeks, Bernie Sanders has been sounding less confident in clinching the nomination for the democratic party. A few weeks ago, he sai...

President Obama to meet with Bernie Sanders to discuss unifying the Democratic party.

Image
Photo Credit: The Wrap Days after Hillary Clinton was declared the presumptive Democratic nominee for the President, President Obama has requested to meet with Bernie Sanders privately in the Oval Office. While President Obama is expected to endorse presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, he is not going to ask Sanders to drop out of the race. White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters that President Obama believes that Bernie Sanders has " more than earned the right to make his own decision about the course of his campaign ." Much of the conversation between Obama and Sanders will center around unifying a divided Democratic party, and what Sanders' role can be in doing this. Bernie Sanders has been steadfast in his disagreements with Hillary Clinton. The question is: Can he and Clinton settle things in order to unify the party and take down Trump? My Two Cents My support for Bernie Sanders isn't as solid as it once was. I don't ...

ICYMI: Hillary Clinton secures enough delegates for Democratic nomination.

Image
Photo Credit: mid-day Last night, the Associated Press jumped the gun and declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive Democratic nominee. They declared that she had secured more than enough delegates for the nomination. The announcement was made ahead of Tuesday's primaries in California, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. This makes Hillary Clinton the first woman to clinch a Presidential nomination for a major party. Clinton did make a statement on Twitter, saying that she is flattered by AP's declaration, but she urged her supporters to go out and vote for her in Tuesday's primaries. Of course, she isn't the official nominee until she is named at the Democratic National Convention, which takes place next month. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders has been quickly and aggressively blasting the media for rushing to name Clinton as the presumptive nominee. He claims that Clinton does not have enough pledged delegates, and she will be dependent on superde...

Can Bernie Sanders win in California?

Image
Photo Credit: blazingcatfurca Tomorrow, the all-important California Primaries take place, and all eyes will be on Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Since we already know who has the Republican nomination etched in stone, we need to find out who will be running against the rodent man with cheeto skin. Bernie Sanders has become a Democratic favorite, and he continues to spread his revolution near and far, with no sign of slowing down. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has dominated the polls, and has gained popularity for putting Donald Trump in his place. If we are to look at the numbers, who has the better chance at winning big in California tomorrow? After winning in Puerto Rico, Clinton only needs 28 more delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination (a number she could easily surpass if she wins in California). Clinton also has 547 superdelegates, whereas Bernie Sanders has a mere 46. Sanders told reporters from The Associated Press on Saturday that he plans on lobbyin...

Elizabeth Warren puts Donald Trump in his place, calling him a "loser."

Image
It's the burn felt round the world: Elizabeth Warren posted a strongly worded message today, calling out Trump for his narcissism and hatred of women and people of color. She brought up his bankruptcies, and discussed how Trump is dangerous for America. Here is her post from earlier today: "Let’s be honest – Donald Trump is a loser. Count all his failed businesses. See how he kept his father’s empire afloat by cheating people with scams like Trump University and by using strategic corporate bankruptcy (excuse me, bankruptcies) to skip out on debt. Listen to the experts who’ve concluded he’s so bad at business that he might have more money today if he’d put his entire inheritance into an index fund and just left it alone.   Trump seems to know he’s a loser. His embarrassing insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, and flagrant narcissism. But just because Trump is a loser everywhere else doesn’t mean he’ll lose this election. People hav...

A KKK grand dragon just endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.

Image
It goes without saying that this election is pretty brutal on both sides. With candidates rallying for support, the last thing any candidate needs is bad press. Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton just received support from a very controversial and unlikely source: a grand dragon of the KKK. During an interview with The Telegraph , Will Quigg, a grand dragon of the California chapter for the KKK, said the following: “We want Hillary Clinton to win." Quigg believes that Clinton is making false promises to Americans, and once she becomes president, her agenda will shift and be more in line with what he believes. "Border policies are going to be put in place. Our second amendment rights that she’s saying she’s against now, she’s not against. She’s just our choice for the presidency." Quigg was asked how he knows about this so-called KKK-friendly agenda. He said: "I cannot reveal my sources. It’s my opinion – if you know what I mean, wink, wink. I don’t wan...

Donald Trump declares his love for the "poorly educated" at Nevada caucus.

Image
After winning the Nevada caucus on Tuesday, Donald Trump made a rather interesting speech . "We won the evangelicals. We won with young, We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated." The last sentence sent social media into a frenzy, and, for a time on Wednesday morning, the sentence was trending. Celebrities, bloggers, and everyone else on Twitter began mocking Trump, some even made memes of the sentence. Despite Trump being a walking punchline, he is the leading man in the GOP race for President. (God/Buddha/Goddess, help us all) My Two Cents: There you have it, America. Once again, Trump declared his love for himself, and his followers (re: " I love the poorly educated )." The simple fact that someone like him has made it this far in the election worries me. I worry for the future of this country. If he wins, anyone who isn't him is pretty much screwed. I heard someone had compared Trump to Hitler. I seriously thi...

Donald Trump ordered to not use Aerosmith's hit "Dream On."

Oh Trump. You know you're hated when rock elite Aerosmith plead that you do not use their songs. Lawyers representing the band Aerosmith sent Donald Trump a few cease-and-desist letters, as Trump does NOT have permission to use "Dream On," or any of Aerosmith's many songs. Also, it gives the public the wrong impression that Aerosmith endorses Trump (they do not endorse him, by the way). This isn't Trump's first brush with iconic rock stars. Last month, he angered REM by using their hit song, "It's the End of the World As We Know It." Michael Stipe told Trump to go f*ck himself (rightly so). There was a rumor about a lawsuit between Trump and REM, but that wasn't true. My Two Cents: Trumpster really isn't making friends during this campaign. I don't blame Aerosmith for not wanting Trump to use their music. I wouldn't want anything to do with that un-be-weave-able troll either. Sh*t, I don't want anything to do with any...

It's official: Hillary Rodham Clinton is running for president.

Image
photo credit: influxwetrust Yesterday, Hillary Clinton announced that she is running for President of the United States. Clinton is hitting the road and putting economic issues at the forefront of her campaign. Clinton attempted a run at the Presidency back in 2008, but was unsuccessful. She lost voters to Barack Obama. This time around, Clinton has no competition in her way (except for the republi-c*nts, but who in their right mind would vote for the dillweeds that are running?). Barack Obama is throwing support Clinton's way, along with Elizabeth Warren. Both are saying that she would make a great President of the United States. Of course, she has a lot of naysayers in this country. Many are outraged by Benghazi and her email scandal. However, she does have a ton of support from the liberal community. We shall see how this race goes. If no other Democratic Candidate runs against her, we may be looking at the first female President come 2016. My Two Cents: I was a...
