‘Roseanne’ to return to ABC in 2018

Photo Credit: fanpop I n the day and age of resurrecting dead TV shows from yesteryear, we can add another popular sitcom to the list. Last week, ABC greenlit bringing back America’s favorite lower middle-class family from the 1990s. From the late 80s to the late 90s, ‘Roseanne’ was all of us. She was the matriarch in a family that was just barely making it through. With strong wit and a tight bond, the Connors overcame every obstacle they faced. When ‘Roseanne’ ended in 1997 with “Into that good night,” we learned that Dan Connor died from that heart attack he had at Darlene’s wedding. Darlene ended up with Mark Healy, and Becky ended up with David Healy. We also learned that Jackie, Roseanne’s sister, was gay. ABC will be bringing back the hit sitcom for 8 episodes in 2018, with most of the original cast set to reprise their iconic roles. 'Bachelor' couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have split!

Bad news, Bachelor Nation. Beloved couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have called it quits. The couple met on Ben's season of 'The Bachelor,' which premiered in January 2016. Higgins and Bushnell released a joint statement to People, saying: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways. We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time." Social media accounts of the couple had gone quiet in recent weeks, with no pictures of the two of them together. If you thought that the severe purge of your favorite TV shows was over, think again! Viewer favorite “2 Broke Girls” has been canceled after 6 seasons. The show, starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs had always been steady with strong ratings. The current season, however, showed ratings dipping to the 7 million mark. News of the show’s cancellation follows CBS network announcements of new shows being added to the line up. “The Voice:” Kelly Clarkson added as a coach for season 14.

On the heels of news that "American Idol" was coming back to the airwaves, Kelly Clarkson announced that she had signed on to be a coach on “The Voice” for next season. Clarkson, who was the original “American Idol,” will be joining “Voice” original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Clarkson released a statement about joining the long-running singing competition: “ I’m so excited to join The Voice at NBC. We’ve gone back and forth about a role as a coach for years, but the timing hasn’t been right until now. I have always loved appearing on the show as an adviser or performer and established an amazing relationship with the network during my Christmas special. I can’t wait to turn my chair and see the faces of up-and-coming artists and provide them with the help and support they’ve needed to break into the industry.
