Well, if you live in New Jersey, all of those plans were shot down, thanks to the government shutdown. While the shutdown made major news alone, it didn't make nearly as big of a splash as Chris Christie's beach trip did. On Sunday, the 54-year-old governor and his family went to Island Beach State Park and had some 'fun in the sun.' Mind you, all state parks, beaches, and more were closed due to the shutdown. Not only did Christie take heat from residents of NJ, he got slammed by people all over the globe. Christie laughed off the haters, saying: "I don’t apologize for it. I don’t back away from it.
