Stacey Dash trolls Oscars show; people cringe in horror.

Image
While everyone is celebrating Leo DiCaprio getting an Oscar, people are also discussing actress Stacey Dash crashing the ceremony and causing another cringe-worthy moment (she has many to her arsenal). Dash went onstage with Chris Rock for a joke, but what she did ended up not being funny. She strutted her stuff onstage, smiling like a pageant queen on helium, swaying her glistening dress, and said : "Happy Black History Month." Watch the footage below: The room became so silent that you could hear a pin drop. Cameras cut to a few people who had horrified and confused expressions on their faces. Later on, Dash posted the following on Patheos: "When they added me to increase the diversity, I’m sure many black people rolled their eyes. I’m the actress from the South Bronx who has always dreamed of winning an Oscar. But God has a great sense of humor and this is my first encounter with one of my dreams of destiny. Bringing diversity to Hollywood… not merely

Aaron Carter endorses Donald Trump for President.

Image
Nick Carter's baby brother Aaron Carter announced yesterday on Twitter that he is endorsing Hitler...I mean Trump, for President. Carter stated that he is endorsing Trump because he (Trump) is a "leader, not a follower, and this is what America needs." Fans of Aaron Carter's completely disagreed with his endorsement, and made their anger known to him. Carter was called every name in the book, including "racist." Carter was fast to react. He stated that he is not racist, and has spent his life touring and "diversifying himself." My Two Cents: I needed to thoroughly research these tweets because I wanted to know exactly what goes through the mind of a Trump supporter (besides their a**). Young Aaron Carter got a lot of heat for his stance, but after reading through his tweets (which there are MANY, I noticed he tweeted that if Trump doesn't support LGBT rights, he was not going to endorse Trump). Whether he sticks to that or not i

Kelly Clarkson delivers an emotional performance on "American Idol."

Image
As we all know, American Idol is ending after its current season, and what better way to celebrate all that American Idol has done than to bring back the first American Idol : Kelly Clarkson. Kelly Clarkson has had one hell of a career. She came from unfortunate circumstances, but became one of the most beloved singers of all time. Not only has her professional life been absolutely amazing, her personal life has become a dream come true. She is a married woman and has one daughter, and a son on the way. This week on American Idol, a pregnant Clarkson took the stage and performed her most personal song yet: "Piece by Piece." The song discusses being abandoned by her father at a young age, and how happy she is to have a husband who loves her and their children. Clarkson looked radiant as she belted out the memories of her past. As you looked around the room, there was not a dry eye in the house. Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr., and Ryan Seacrest were gl

Donald Trump discusses the "honer" of being nominated.

Image
In the wee morning hours of February 26, 2016, a toupee-wearing man named Donald Trump went on Twitter and shared his joy with everyone. He had just read about where he stands in the polls, and noticed that he was pulling ahead of all the other GOP hopefuls. He tweeted the following: "Wow, every poll said I won the debate last night. Great honer!" Honer!? o_0 My Two Cents: Now, I want to choose my words carefully, as Donald Trump is known to be sue-happy. I wonder, though, what an honer is? Is it a hateful boner? If so, why did he share that with Twitter? I understand that some men get erections during inappropriate moments, but most do not share that with the world. If he is talking about his erection, I applaud him for still being able to achieve one at his age (with or without the blue pills). That's quite an accomplishment and he should be very proud of himself. *slow clap* If it is a simple misspelling of "honor," then disregard the above

"Fuller House:" Did it live up to its hype?

Image
*FYI, no direct spoilers in this post. I dance around a couple of things, but nothing direct.* For some time now, we have all been counting down the weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the Tanners would be back in our lives. At 3am EST "Fuller House" went live on Netflix. As I awoke from a deep slumber, I immediately turned on Netflix and started the show. I will tell you that I shouldn't have been drinking hot coffee while reliving all of the nostalgia. Almost burned myself a few times. I digress. Fuller House did deliver on its nostalgia, but it also delivered a lot of originality. They imported a lot of modern technology into the mix, but also kept it down-to-earth. The Tanner girls: DJ Tanner is definitely what you would expect her to be as an adult. She is maternal, warm, loving, and her father's daughter. She did have her fair share of drama during the season, but she made decisions based on what would make her happy (and her sons happy).

Donald Trump declares his love for the "poorly educated" at Nevada caucus.

Image
After winning the Nevada caucus on Tuesday, Donald Trump made a rather interesting speech . "We won the evangelicals. We won with young, We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated." The last sentence sent social media into a frenzy, and, for a time on Wednesday morning, the sentence was trending. Celebrities, bloggers, and everyone else on Twitter began mocking Trump, some even made memes of the sentence. Despite Trump being a walking punchline, he is the leading man in the GOP race for President. (God/Buddha/Goddess, help us all) My Two Cents: There you have it, America. Once again, Trump declared his love for himself, and his followers (re: " I love the poorly educated )." The simple fact that someone like him has made it this far in the election worries me. I worry for the future of this country. If he wins, anyone who isn't him is pretty much screwed. I heard someone had compared Trump to Hitler. I seriously thi

Reviewers 'having a cow' over "Fuller House."

Image
"Fuller House" might be in trouble before it even starts. In a couple of days , millions of Netflix subscribers will revisit the Tanner family. DJ Tanner-Fuller is a widowed mother of three boys. DJ's best friend Kimmy Gibbler, and DJ's younger sister Stephanie Tanner, move in with DJ to help her raise her kids. Together, familiar times are had by all. If critic reviews are to be believed, it looks as if "Fuller House" is missing the mark. According to reviewers, "Fuller House's" pilot is "painful to watch." Critics praised the Olsen twins for opting out of the show, due to how awful the show is. 'Variety' called the reboot "self-obsessed." They also said that those who enjoyed the original show may find it enjoyable, due to the nostalgia. AP review says that the show will only please fans, and no one else. Hope isn't lost though. Some reviewers liked the reboot. Newsday gave the show a B+ rating, and

Farrah Abraham calls co-executive producer of 'Teen Mom OG' "white trash."

Image
In a new sneak peek of 'Teen Mom OG,' film crew arrive at the 'Teen Mom' star's house and Abraham seems perplexed as to why they were there, saying that the production does not exist. She asks one of the female producers if she could speak with co-executive producer Larry about the situation . At first, Farrah and Larry seemed cordial. Once they began discussing their agreement, Farrah goes on the defensive and demands that he speak to her lawyer about the issue, as Farrah was in the middle of moving to Los Angeles. Larry tells Farrah that she is "breeching her contact" by refusing to be filmed (part of her agreement also states that she is not allowed to pursue other avenues of income). Farrah prepares to storm away, but before doing so, she whips around and asks Larry, "Why are you so white trash?" Here's the clip below: My Two Cents: Farrah Abraham is supposed to be, what, 24/25 years old? Why is she behaving like she's 7?

Born on this day in 1967: Kurt Cobain.

Image
Today marks what would have been grunge rocker Kurt Cobain's 49th birthday. Kurt Cobain pretty much owned the first half of the 1990s when he and his band Nirvana dominated the music industry. Nirvana actually formed in 1986, and put out their first CD, "Bleach" in 1989, under an independent label called Sub-Pop records. They gained popularity overseas, and in 1991, they signed with Geffen records. "Nevermind," Nirvana's masterpiece, was released shortly after. This record put this band on the map and made them one of the most iconic bands in history. The instant popularity did start to take its toll on Kurt Cobain. In 1992, Cobain married Hole front woman, Courtney Love, and they had a daughter together, Frances Bean Cobain. Between 1992 and 1994, two more albums were released: "Incesticide" and "In Utero." 1994 became the year when the music world became dark. Between dealing with the depression from his childhood, and th

'Mob Wives' star Angela Raiola loses her battle with cancer.

Image
The beautiful and vibrant star of VH1 reality show 'Mob Wives' passed away early Thursday morning after a year long battle with brain, lung, and throat cancer. She was 55. A friend of Big Ang's posted on her Twitter page the following: "It is with sad regret that we inform you that at 3:01 a.m. Angelia Raiola peacefully ended her battle with cancer, and was called home. She was surrounded by nothing but love from her immediate family, and the closest friends. YOU, (her fans) were some of the most special people in the world, and she loved you immensely. Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end." Raiola is survived by husband Neil Murphy, two kids, and 6 grandkids. Raiola's co-stars have been expressing their condolences since the news broke. Some of Raiola's famous friends have reached out, sharing memories of times had together. Fans have taken over social media, sending their condolences to Bi

Nike drops Manny Pacquiao following anti-gay comments.

Image
Sports apparel behemoth Nike has officially ended their relationship with boxer Manny Pacquiao after finding out that he made anti-gay comments. During a recent interview Pacquiao did in the Philippines, Pacquiao said the following: "It's common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals." When Nike heard about this, they terminated their 10 year relationship with him. Nike released the following statement: "We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao.” Pacquiao issued an apology on Twitter saying that he was sorry for hurting people with what he said. He asked for forgiveness and ended his apology with: God Bless .

Fan creates GoFundMe page for Kanye West.

Image
As if the Kanye West saga wasn't enough of a joke, a fan of Mr. Yeezus created a GoFundMe page to help raise $53 million. Kanye West recently declared that he was $53 million in debt, and even went as far as to text Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, hitting him up for a $1 billion loan.  Mr. West states that he needs the money to bring his various ideas into fruition. Jeremy Piatt, the creator of the GoFundMe page for Kanye West wrote the following on the page: “Kanye West, prolific entertainer/fashion icon/celebrity/member of the Kardashian family needs our help! Recently, Kanye let us in on his personal struggle. He is 53 million dollars in debt and it doesn’t look like he’s going to get Mark Zuckerberg’s help that he desperately needs. We must open our hearts and wallets for Kanye today. Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can’t be realized. As Kanye West has told us time and tim

Paul McCartney, Taylor Hawkins, and Beck denied entrance to Tyga's Grammys afterparty.

Image
TMZ reports that music legends Beck, Paul McCartney, and Taylor Hawkins were at Argyle in Hollywood, looking to get into an afterparty and celebrate another year of music. Party MC, Tyga,  barred all three musicians from entering the soiree. Bodyguards at the door said that the party was VIP only. McCartney responded with: " How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit guys, we need another hit." McCartney looked at Beck, pointed his finger and said, " Work on it." My Two Cents: How the f*ck can Tyga deny three music legends entry to a party? Tyga isn't special. Tyga hasn't contributed anything to music. He's just a punk kid. Paul McCartney, Beck, and Taylor Hawkins revolutionized music, and are living legends. On the flip side, why would these legends want to be at a party full of millennials who have horrible taste in music? Come on guys, you're better than that. Taylor Hawkins should have thrown a drumstick at Tyga; need to knock some s

Why I celebrate Singles Awareness Day

Image
February 14th has always been known as the day of love, or Valentine's Day. Couples all over the world shower gifts on one another, reminding each other how much they love each other. For the single person, this can get rather unsettling. Singles all over the world find themselves cursing that fat cherub for not shooting them with the arrow of amore. If you are a single woman over 30 like me, you know the struggle is real. You find yourself cringing at all of the lovey-dovey status updates on social media. You find yourself wanting to vomit every time you see a couple kissing in public. While I am totally there with you all, I have decided to take back Valentine's Day and join millions around the world in celebrating Singles Awareness Day. Depending on who you are, and where you are, Singles Awareness Day is celebrated on either February 14th or February 15th. Those that choose not to celebrate it on February 14th state that they do not want to buy into the commercialis

How to Handle the Situation when He Doesn't Call After a Date

Image
Ever sat in front of your phone (or computer), expecting to hear back from a man that you had a great date with? I'm sure most of you have. You sit there thinking about how handsome the man was, how great the conversation was, and how delicious the dinner was. A smile appears on your face and you light up inside. However, you realize that it's been about a week, and you haven't heard from him. Suddenly, the smile disappears and you feel puzzled: "Maybe he forgot my number." "Maybe something horrible happened to him." "Maybe he is busy at work, he is very important, you know." "Maybe he is dealing with a family emergency?" We fail to realize the possibility that the date may not have been as good for him as it was for us. We fail to realize that he doesn't care to maintain contact with you, because, well, he didn't connect with you. We call him, thinking that maybe he forgot your number. He doesn't answer. You le

Italian woman faces 6 years in prison for not doing housework.

Image
A 42-year-old woman faces up to 6 years in prison, after her 47-year-old husband accused her of not doing enough housework. The husband filed a formal complaint to the paramilitary carabinieri police in Italy. According to the husband, his wife had not been cooking or cleaning enough for him. He also states that he was "chronically neglected" for two years, and she occasionally kicked him out of their bedroom. The case is expected to go to trial. If the wife is found guilty, she will be charged with "mistreatment within the family." According to The Telegraph, the crime punishes a person who mistreats another person in their family. This case goes to trial in the fall. My Two Cents: As an old school feminist, my blood boils whenever I hear stories like this. I have done research on this story and I haven't found anything in it that suggests that she is a horrible woman. A wife isn't supposed to do EVERYTHING for a husband. This isn't the 1950s

10 big movies turning 20 this year.

Image
The 1990s were known for their decent movies. The year 1996 was definitely the year of big blockbusters. Lets take a look back at 10 movies that are turning 20 this year: 1. Independence Day Who could forget this edge-of-your-seat alien invasion? Independence Day starred Will Smith, Bill Pullman, and Jeff Goldblum. We watched as an all-star cast raced against time to save the world from an alien invasion. The movie ended up being the biggest movie of the year (yours truly saw it in the theater twice). The sequel to this blockbuster movie is slated to be released on June 24, 2016. 2. The Craft This movie followed a group of teenage girls as they used witchcraft for their own personal gain. The movie starred Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, and Neve Campbell. 3. Mission: Impossible In the 80s, Tom Cruise was known for his Cocktails and Risky Business ventures. In the 90s and beyond, he reinvented himself as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible. This action spy film continues to be

The Bachelor Recap: Who did Ben Higgins send home?

Image
**Spoiler Alert** Last week, fans of The Bachelor were left hanging after Ben pulled Olivia aside to address what the rest of the contestants were telling him in confidence. Fans were shocked and outraged last week when Olivia commented that Amanda was like an episode of Teen Mom (Amanda has two children, both of which were born while Amanda was in her 20s). Amanda wasn't the only contestant who had a bad taste in her mouth from Olivia. The rest of the contestants had the same bad taste in their mouths. Fast forward to this week: Olivia and Ben talked, and she remained. Ben continued with last week's rose ceremony and sent one of the women packing. Ben and the contestants readied for an exciting trip to the Bahamas. Once there, Caila had her one-on-one date with Ben, which went wonderfully. The group date consisted of all the girls except Olivia and Emily (they were picked for a 2-on-1 date with Ben). During the group date, Leah grabbed Ben for some one-on-one time a

Lady Gaga brilliantly sung the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50.

Image
The Denver Broncos may have slayed Super Bowl 50, but Lady Gaga is headline news this morning for brilliantly slaying the National Anthem. After years of pop singers flubbing the National Anthem ahead of game time, Lady Gaga took the stage and nailed it. Her powerhouse voice gave many Americans goosebumps, and provided a deeper appreciation for all that it is to be an American. She was joined by Marlee Matlin, who beautifully signed the National Anthem. Both ladies provided one of the best National Anthem performances in the history of the Super Bowl. Watch the performance below: Slay, Queen Lady Gaga!

Breaking: Rand Paul drops out of presidential race.

Image
Another one bites the dust! GOP hopeful Rand Paul announced on Wednesday that he is ending his campaign for the 2016 presidential election. He issued the following statement: "Today, I will end where I began, ready and willing to fight for the cause of liberty. Across the country thousands upon thousands of young people flocked to our message of limited government, privacy, criminal justice reform and a reasonable policy. Brush fires of liberty were ignited, and those will carry on, as will I." Paul suspended his campaign after coming in 5th in the Iowan Caucus. Even though his hopes for winning the election are now kaput, he is up for re-election in the senate. My Two Cents: Lord, please push Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and the rest of the fools to drop out of the race. There is no room in this country for racist, homophobic, and misogynistic "politicians."

What I think about this season's "The Bachelor."

Image
We have all heard of this show. A dapper 20-something man is chosen to be the prize that women will compete for. Women from all over the country audition to be on the show, and only the most beautiful and successful are chosen to be on the show. This season's "The Bachelor" stars Ben, a mid-20s young man who has found success in corporate America. He will wine and dine many 20-something women until he finds 'the one.' At the end of the season, he will get down on one knee and present the winner with a ring (sometimes just a rose if the guy is a douche). I'm getting ahead of myself. Many lovely ladies have graced the TV show. Some have had substance, others have had mental breakdowns. Ben has already formed bonds with several of the women. One woman in particular has played dirty in order to get under Ben's good graces. Olivia may seem like a nice young lady on the outside. Inside, she has some issues. In fact, she has more issues than Vogue. The wo

Mike Huckabee ends presidential race

Image
The clown car has lost another member. Mike Huckabee announced yesterday that he was officially ending his campaign. He thanked his followers for their support. In the tweet he hash-tagged #ImWithHucK. The announcement comes after Ted Cruz declared victory in the Iowan caucus. My Two Cents: Hopefully the rest of the clowns will follow suit and end their racist, homophobic, and misogynistic campaigns. That means you, Trump!
