Photo Credit: galleryhip Bone loss diseases such as osteopenia and osteoporosis are a scary reality for women as we age. They say that the peak bone density for a female is age 30. After that, bone density slowly decreases. While most women my age don't have to worry too much about bone density disorders just yet, it is a reality in my life. In June, I was diagnosed with osteopenia in my lumbar spine. After I received my diagnosis, the doctor stated that I need to increase my calcium intake. Not only did I begin taking calcium supplements, I began researching foods that are rich in calcium. During my research, I found a ton of vegetables that have a good amount of calcium in them.
