Can you use your smartphone to view the upcoming Eclipse?

Image
The "once in a lifetime" solar eclipse is just around the corner, and just about every retailer is sold out of the eclipse glasses. Does that mean that you won't be able to partake in this phenomenon? Nope! Just like there's an app for everything in life, there is an app for safely viewing the Eclipse on August 21. Space.com has compiled a list of apps that you can use to view the total solar eclipse: Paid apps: SkySafari 5 , Star Walk 2 , and Stellarium FREE apps: Eclipse Safari (for iOS and Android). The above apps are the best that you can find for viewing the Great American Solar Eclipse. Other apps worth mentioning (that are FREE ) are: Clear Sky Droid (Android) iCSC: Clear Sky Chart (iOS) For more information on how you can have the best viewing experience possible, click here . I will be viewing the Total Solar Eclipse using the Eclipse Safari app. As someone who is a science and astronomy geek, I have been stoked about this for weeks. This i

WWE's Ric Flair undergoes successful surgery.

Image
Photo Credit: wrestlefix The 68-year-old 2-time Hall of Famer underwent surgery on Monday to fix an issue that was found over the weekend. According to Flair's rep Melinda Morris Zanoni, Ric Flair had a non-heart related surgery, and has a long recovery ahead of him. Zanoni asked for continued prayers for her client, and his children, Charlotte, Megan, David, and Wendy Flair. Many of Flair's colleagues have taken to social media to send heartfelt prayers to Flair. Commentators for WWE Raw and Smackdown, Michael Cole, Booker T, and Corey Graves acknowledged their friend's condition and offered well wishes. Wrestlers John Cena, Mick Foley, and Hulk Hogan expressed their support for Ric Flair on Monday. Eric Bischoff also expressed his well wishes for Ric Flair. There are rumors that Ric Flair was put in a medically induced coma prior to surgery. My Two Cents I am so glad that Ric Flair's surgery was successful. Ric Flair is a fighter. He doesn't allow

Legendary WWE wrestler Ric Flair hospitalized.

Image
2-Time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was hospitalized over the weekend for heart-related issues. The 68-year-old, 16-time champion went into the hospital for "routine monitoring," according to his manager, Melinda Morris Zanoni. Zanoni went to Twitter and asked for "prayers & positive energy for our Living Legend as he is dealing w/some tough medical issues." She went on to thank the hospital staff and his fiancé, and that there is no reason to panic. My Two Cents I've been an avid fan of WWE for nearly two decades, and I love Ric Flair as a wrestler and a personality. He is a " limousine-ridin', jet-flyin', kiss stealin', wheelin' dealin', son-of-a-gun !" He can strut his stuff like no other! Sending out healing vibes and prayers to Ric Flair and his family. Ric Flair, you will be 'stylin and profilin' in no time! WOOOOOOOOOO!

'Fit Mom' Maria Kang claps back at Tess Holliday, and ish gets real!

Image
Maria Kang rose to fame in 2013, when a photo of her toned physique, three beautiful children, and the caption, "What's Your Excuse?," went viral. The photo was called "inflammatory," and Kang was vilified for her stance on body expectations. She was also flamed for mom-shaming. On July 31, a man by the name of Robbie Tripp posted an Instagram photo of his wife, Sarah, and how much he loves her curvy body. Tripp said this about his wife (grab the tissues, it's beautiful. By the way, where can I find a man like Tripp? I'm recently single, lol!): || I love this woman and her curvy body. As a teenager, I was often teased by my friends for my attraction to girls on the thicker side, ones who were shorter and curvier, girls that the average (basic) bro might refer to as "chubby" or even "fat." Then, as I became a man and started to educate myself on issues such as feminism and how the media marginalizes women by portrayin

Disney dumps Netflix for own streaming service.

Image
Photo Credit: theweek On Tuesday, Disney announced that it will be removing all of their movies on Netflix, in order to launch their own "Disney-branding streaming service." Beginning in 2019, Disney will launch a streaming service, and it will be the exclusive home of all Disney and Pixar films. Along with Disney and Pixar films, the streaming service will also be launching an ESPN-branded sports streaming service, which will be made available in 2018. The service will feature MLB, NHL, MLS, Tennis, and college sports. The streaming service will be powered by a digital media company called BAMTech. Chief Bob Iger from Disney released a statement about the new streaming services: "The media landscape is increasingly defined by direct relationships between content creators and consumers, and our control of BAMTech’s full array of innovative technology will give us the power to forge those connections, along with the flexibility to quickly adapt to shifts in t

Floating Trump Chicken Invades the White House

Image
Photo Credit: uniladUK On Wednesday, a fortunate few caught a glimpse of a massive Trump Chicken floating around the White House grounds.  The Trump Chicken was used by protestors in order to persuade Trump to release his tax returns. The organizers obviously don't pay attention to the news. Trump and his kin are on a 17-day "working" vacation in New Jersey, golfing (for the 40th time since taking office). My Two Cents The chicken is just trying to make America great again. At least the chicken is showing up to work. With his small arms, he can't golf...so we don't have to worry about Trump Chicken bolting every 5 seconds to work on his golf swing. If Trump Chicken can find his way in, I think he'd be a great replacement for President. All hail, President Trump Chicken! Make America great again!

Aaron Carter comes out as bisexual.

Image
Photo Credit: gossiprx Aaron Carter has had a tough go of it for several years now. If recent reports are to be believed, he may be finding some peace in his life. The younger brother of 'Backstreet Boy,' Nick Carter, posted a very personal note on Twitter over the weekend, and if you pay attention to what he wrote, everything he has been going through in the last few years makes sense. Screenshot - Aaron Carter's Instagram In addition to the above post, he said: "There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn't until I was 17-year-old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with." Aaron Carter has had an outpouring of support from fans across the globe, and he has had tremendous support from celebrities as well. My Two Cents At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this. I thought about all of the things he's been going

Sharknado 5 Global Swarming: Did you catch all the celebrity cameos?

Image
Last night, the latest installment of the Sharknado franchise premiered, and it was pretty good. Not only did the movie end with an incredible twist, I was blown away at some of the cameos. In this post, I will be listing all of the celebs that made a cameo in this movie. Bret Michaels : We ran into him in London as a sharknado was in progress. He got himself caught on the front of the bus and decided to rock the scene with his guitar. Sadly, Michaels did not survive. Clay Aiken : Mr. Clay Aiken played a geeky British lad looking to help stop the devastating sharknado in London. His accent was pretty good! He didn't survive either. Porsha Williams : This one blew me away and I had to do a double take because I had to make sure. Sure enough, it was RHOA's own Porsha Williams making her acting debut as Andromeda. Charo : I love Charo. She is feisty and amazing. Ms. Charo played England's Queen. Fabio : This part had me laughing. Fabio played The Pope, who was he
