Chocolate factory employee calls in bomb threat in order to get fired.

An employee at the Barry Callebaut chocolate factory in Vermont hated his job so much, that he called in a bomb threat in order to get fired. Twenty-two year old Kristofer Pregent swiped a co-worker's phone and called in the threat Monday night. When police arrived on the scene, Pregent stated that he received the bomb threat. Then he changed his story and said that the bomb threat never happened. He broke down and told the police that he hated his job and wanted to be fired. Well, not only did his plan work (he was fired), he also was arrested and charged with petit larceny, unlawful mischief, and false public alarm. My Two Cents: Out of all the jobs in this country, one would think working at a chocolate factory would not be one that someone would hate. I mean, if I were around that much chocolate, I'd be in heaven! Homeboy needs a reality check. I can tell this dude is going to be b*tchslapped in the unemployment line. Bro, you worked around chocolate. What the f

Oh no! Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Ryan Sweeting are divorcing after 21 months married!

Another one bites the dust! Summers are usually known for its romantic summer flings. However, summer 2015 will go down in history as the summer of celebrity breakups and divorces. Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Ryan Sweeting join other couples, such as Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossedale, as the latest couple to divorce. Cuoco and Sweeting married 21 months ago after a whirlwind romance. Their rep confirmed the news to People magazine on Friday: "Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage. They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter." This couple is no stranger to divorce reports. Over the past year, the couple had been bombarded with divorce rumors, which Kaley Cuoco quickly shot down. Unfortunately, this divorce report happens to be true. Love is officially dead in Hollywood, my friends. My Two Cents: I hate to say it, but I saw this coming. I'm not saying this because I'm going

My name is Shauna Silva, and I am...(part three)

Today ends week one of my outpatient treatment for depression and alcohol dependency. I have already learned a lot this week, and at first I wasn't sure if this specific treatment program was going to be for me. Today, I realized that this program is perfect for me, as I was able to fully confide in my treatment coordinator and really open up about stuff that I had been holding inside. I wasn't expecting to experience so much emotion this week. For the past two days, a lot of the pain I have been keeping inside has started to come out. I have found myself crying a lot over the past 48 hours. Usually, I would be ashamed of crying so much, but I'm not so ashamed anymore. I'm letting go of a lot of the pain that I have stuffed inside for so long. A good amount of the pain I have been dealing with revolves around the relationship I had been in for over 3 and a half years. While we haven't "officially" broken up, I have been grieving the loss of the relation

Trans woman victim of discriminatory treatment while at Florida airport.

Not even an hour ago, a friend of mine began retweeting posts from a friend of hers in Florida. Shadi Petosky, a writer at PUNY , was going through security on her way to board an American Airlines flight, when the TSA pulled her aside because of an "anomaly (in between her legs)" that was seen during the screening. They then showed her into a room, where an officer held the door closed. A TSA agent by the name of Bramlet told Petosky to go through the screening machine as a man, or else it was "going to be a problem." It didn't end there. Officers accused Petosky of having explosives in her hands (there weren't any). Shadi kindly asked if the agent had any training in trans issues and he said abruptly, "I know what I'm doing!" Petosky tweeted that she flies all the time and she has never had a problem. Cops and TSA agents said that they wanted to take her phone, but Shadi said she wanted to keep a record of what was happening (which she did. S

My name is Shauna Silva, and I am... (part two)

Good evening everyone. It's been a crazy time lately, and the thing that I have been noticing is that I am feeling everything. With all the stress that I'm under with moving out of my boyfriend (I still call him my boyfriend because we aren't officially over. Right now, we are separated)'s house, back home, dealing with my spinal issues, dealing with the possibility of having Crohn's disease, having all these doctor appointments, and beginning treatment soon, I have become drained in every aspect of the word. Before, I would be drinking wine like water in order to numb the stress. Now that I'm becoming sober, I am feeling so much and it's overwhelming. Yesterday, I was dealing with so much that I swear my vision was going away. I ended up going to bed at 7:30pm. This morning, I woke up and my vision was fine. I'm pretty sure the blurred and faded vision was due to stress. This morning, I went to my boyfriend's house to get some of my stuff out. I&

My name is Shauna Silva and I am...(part one)

Good day, readers! I have decided to start a series about receiving help for severe depression and alcohol dependency. As most of you know, I have been suffering from a painful spinal condition for nearly 3 years now. Since the pain started in 2013, I have noticed my mental state decline. This year, however, things have taken a turn for the worse. With my spine continuing to deteriorate, I have become more depressed. My neurosurgeon told me that I need to stop working until we find out what the problem is and fix it. In my personal life, my mental decline had taken its toll on my long-term relationship with the 'love of my life.' I decided to move back home to see if the distance may help both of us. Unfortunately, it hasn't. I discussed the two of us taking a break from one another and he agreed. We plan on getting together sometime next month so we can see where to go from there. While the separation was my idea, I haven't been taking it well. A few weeks ago, I cont

Anne Hathaway discusses experiencing Hollywood ageism at 32

In an industry that favors youth over talent, actresses that were born before the Challenger Explosion are now being told that they are too 'over-the-hill' to play young adult characters. Anne Hathaway, who first drifted onto the scene in "The Princess Diaries," is being told by directors that she, at age 32, is "too old " to play young female characters: "I can’t complain about it because I benefitted from it. When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I’m in my early thirties and I’m like, ‘Why did that 24 year old get that part?’ I was that 24 year old once, I can’t be upset about it, it’s the way things are. All I can do right now is think that thankfully you have built up perhaps a little bit of cachet and can tell stories that interest you and if people go to see them you’ll be allowed to make more." The struggle is real, Annie. My Two Cents: The thing that annoy

Breaking: Kentucky clerk Kim Davis has been sent to jail.

Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who feels she should be exempt from providing gay marriage licenses on the grounds that it violates her beliefs, has been ordered to jail. U.S. District Judge David Bunning ordered that she would stay in jail until she complies with his order that she issue licenses. Davis thanked the Judge before the U.S. marshal led her out of the courtroom (note: she was not in handcuffs). As previously discussed, Davis has been refusing to issue gay marriage licenses since the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage two months ago. My Two Cents: I am honestly not surprised by this. I had a feeling the judge would order her to jail, only because of how defiant she has been about the issue. As I stated Tuesday in my post about this woman, her beliefs don't make her above the law. Christian faith doesn't put you above the law. You put on panties one leg at a time just like everyone else (unless you go commando like Adam and Eve). Kim Davis may feel as if

What is Crohn's Disease and why the f*ck am I talking about it?

Good afternoon everyone! *waves* The past couple of years, I have been dealing with a series of health issues. The main one happens to be my spinal condition. Now, it looks like I may have Crohn's Disease. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and my GI doctor at the time thought that the UC could be a precursor to Crohn's (I was tested inconclusive for Crohn's at the time). He treated me for Colitis (until my medication was discontinued). Since the time my treatment stopped, I have had some relatively painful flares, but they don't happen too often (maybe 10 to 20 times a year). Fast forward to present day: I had a routine Colonoscopy (my second one), and the results came back " sufficient " for Crohn's. They want to send my results off to Yale for further investigation. In the meantime, I have to have an x-ray of my small bowel, so they can get a closer look as to what the f*ck is going on down there. What is Crohn's Disease?

Report: "Under the Dome" canceled.

After three edge-of-your-seat seasons, CBS has decided to cancel "Under the Dome." The series focuses on a town that became cut off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome. Townspeople try to find ways to adjust, while also facing extraterrestrial phenomenon. When the show first aired 2 years ago, it was instantaneously a hit. The series finale will air on September 10. A press release from the network said that all questions about the power and origin of the dome will be answered. The two groups of residents under the dome will engage in an ultimate battle, and some may not survive. My Two Cents: I have been a huge fan of this show since it first aired two years ago. To hear that it is being cancelled is sad, but, at the same time, I'm not surprised. With the way this season has been going, it has a feel that the series was coming to an end. I want to thank the show's creators for creating such an incredible show. Readers: Are you a fan of &qu

Dude's "19 incher" is destroying his life.

Fifty-two year old Roberto Esquivel Cabrera of Mexico is said to have the world's largest penis. While many dudes around the world would love to have an ample dong, Cabrera states that he is unable to work, and women are scared to be intimate with him. Cabrera is on assistance and is trying to get on disability. His penis measures nearly 19 inches long and the tip is nearly 10 inches. Cabrera is being tested by medical doctors to see if there is anything that can be done so Cabrera can live a normal life. Dr. Philip Werthman, who is based out of Los Angeles, heard about Cabrera's story and said that there is a procedure than can be done, and it's sort of like a "very big circumcision." Werthman believes that the appendage is excess skin. It is unclear as to how Cabrera achieved such a dong. My Two Cents: My heart goes out to Cabrera. It must be * hard *....I mean, difficult...to live in such painful circumstances. It must * suck *...I mean stink. Truly

Scott Walker hopes to build a wall to separate US from Canada.

And the crazy train gets even crazier! GOP hopeful Scott Walker, a man who is almost as bat sh*t crazy as Donald Trump, states that he wants to build a wall between us and Canada. Walker states that his  idea came after conversing with law enforcement. Chatter about an incident that happened in 2000 was brought up. In 2000 a citizen from Algeria planned to enter America from Canada and bomb LAX. Scott Walker spoke further about his conversation with officials: "They raised some very legitimate concerns, including some law enforcement folks that brought that up to me at one of our town hall meetings about a week and a half ago. So that is a legitimate issue for us to look at." A senator from Vermont (Patrick Leahy) slammed Walker's comments, saying that it is one of the craziest ideas to come out of the election. The senator from Vermont also had this to say about Walker's desire for the 5,255 mile border: "Gov. Walker simply must be unaware of the economic

Kanye West announces he's running for President in 2020 *mic drop.*

It's the mic drop heard around the world. Mr. Kanye West announced his Presidency during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. "I don’t know what I stand to lose after this. It don't matter though, because it ain't about me; it’s about new ideas, bro, new ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president." Yes, he is serious. My Two Cents: If Kanye West runs for President in 2020, the country will be in trouble. So, before he decides to throw in his lack of knowledge about politics, I'm going to save up my money I can move to Amsterdam (I've already started saving just in case Donald Trump is elected President next year). If Kanye West wants to do something for this country, he can live off the grid and wire his mouth shut. *mic drop*

Kentucky clerk continues to deny gay marriage licenses, despite supreme court ruling.

Kim Davis has made headlines recently for denying same-sex marriage licenses in Rowan Country, Kentucky. Davis asked the court to be excused from that part of her job on the grounds that gay marriage goes against her religious beliefs. The court denied her request. Last week, two same-sex couples came into the office to obtain their marriage license. Davis was not working out front when they came in, but her staff was instructed by her to turn away the two couples. Davis came out and the following exchange occurred: One of the couples: “Under whose authority are you not issuing licenses?” Davis replied: “Under God’s authority!” Both couples appealed to the Morehead Sheriff. The Sheriff stated that while he cannot enforce the Supreme Court's decision, Davis will likely be held in contempt. It has been reported if Davis does not begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses on Tuesday, she will face fines or jail time. My Two Cents: It's totally cool if you have a belief
