Keeping your pets safe during winter storms.
News of the blizzard has swept the nation, and those of us on the east coast are scrambling to get everything we need to ride out the storm. While it is important to have what we need to keep our human family members safe, it is equally as important to prepare our pet family members for the incoming storm. It is recommended that all pets come indoors during inclement weather. If you are pet parents to full-time outdoor cats and dogs (meaning strays), it is important to get them prepared in advance of the storm. The Humane Society shares the following tips to help you protect your furbabies: Protect your outdoor pets by keeping them in a draft-free and dry structure. Make sure it is large enough for them to move around and lie down in. Be sure that the structure is not facing wind.
