Why I celebrate Singles Awareness Day
February 14th has always been known as the day of love, or Valentine's Day. Couples all over the world shower gifts on one another, reminding each other how much they love each other. For the single person, this can get rather unsettling. Singles all over the world find themselves cursing that fat cherub for not shooting them with the arrow of amore. If you are a single woman over 30 like me, you know the struggle is real. You find yourself cringing at all of the lovey-dovey status updates on social media. You find yourself wanting to vomit every time you see a couple kissing in public. While I am totally there with you all, I have decided to take back Valentine's Day and join millions around the world in celebrating Singles Awareness Day. Depending on who you are, and where you are, Singles Awareness Day is celebrated on either February 14th or February 15th. Those that choose not to celebrate it on February 14th state that they do not want to buy into the commercialis...
