Selena Quintanilla Perez to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Image
Photo Credit: redalertlive The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce-Hollywood Walk of Fame announced Tuesday that the late Tejano singer would be receiving a star. She will be joining Hollywood Walk of Fame 2017 honorees: John Legend, Eva Longoria, Ice Cube, Gustavo Dudamel, and Dwayne Johnson. The Quintanilla family shared the news on social media, and was subsequently met with an obvious reaction: "IT'S ABOUT TIME!" The Queen of Tejano music was tragically killed in 1995. She was iconic in her short life and her legacy still reigns today. I am super excited that she is getting a star. I became a fan of hers shortly before she passed away. She was an incredible dancer, incredible singer, and can we talk about her amazing fashion sense?! Seriously! Anyways, I hope they televise the ceremony next year! #ViveSelena

These two actresses are set to return to 'Nashville.'

Image
Photo Credit: metrouk Looks like we may be seeing more of Rayna James and Juliette Barnes! According to Variety, Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere are at the "very last stages" of their negotiations. Sources close to the actresses say that it is a "done deal." Guess what, ya'll? They are not alone! Chris Carmack, Jonathan Jackson, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Maisy Stella, and Lennon Stella are set to return as well! We are learning that the fifth season of our beloved 'Nashville' will be a full, 22-episode season. Earlier this month, we learned that Aubrey Peeples and Will Chase had exited the show. It is possible that we may see Luke Wheeler and Layla Grant in a few guest appearances in the future. When we last say our favorite TV characters, we were left shocked when Juliette Barnes' plane went missing. With Hayden Panetierre poised to come back to 'Nashville,' perhaps this means that Juliette Barnes is alive and

'Game of Thrones' showrunners confirm 15 episodes left in series.

Image
All good things must come to an end. While 'Game of Thrones' fans are still recovering from the epic season 6 finale that aired on Sunday, they might want to prepare themselves for the inevitable : the end of the series. GoT showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff confirmed that, not only are there two seasons left, there are likely 15 episodes left (at most). This means that the next two seasons of 'Game of Thrones' will have less than 10 episodes each. The showrunners were recently interviewed about the show coming to the end: "We’re trying to tell one cohesive story with a beginning, middle and end. As Dan [Weiss] said, we’ve known the end for quite some time, and we’re hurtling towards it. Those last images from the show that aired last night showed that. Daenerys is finally coming back to Westeros; Jon Snow is king of the North and Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne. And we know the Night King is up there, waiting for all of them. The pieces are on th

Legendary TN women's basketball coach Pat Summitt loses battle with Alzheimer's.

Image
Photo Credit: nbcconnecticut Pat Summitt, a woman known for being the "face of modern women's athletics," has died. She was 64 years old. Since 2011, she had been battling early onset dementia (Alzheimer's type). In recent days, her condition deteriorated. Many of Summitt's colleagues and former players visited her bedside before she passed away. The Pat Summitt Foundation requested prayers over the weekend as her condition took a 'turn for the worse.' Her son, Tyler Summitt, released a statement to AP about his mother's battle with Alzheimer's: "Since 2011, my mother has battled her toughest opponent, early onset dementia, 'Alzheimer's Type,' and she did so with bravely fierce determination just as she did with every opponent she ever faced. Even though it's incredibly difficult to come to terms that she is no longer with us, we can all find peace in knowing she no longer carries the heavy burden of this disease.&quo

Photo Credit: tntodayutkedu Legendary Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summit has reportedly taken a 'turn for the worse' in her battle against early-onset dementia. Summitt was reportedly moved to hospice over the weekend, with doctors saying that "these could be her final days." The Pat Summitt Foundation released a statement in regards to Summitt's condition: "On behalf of Pat Summitt’s family, we acknowledge the past few days have been difficult for Pat as her early onset dementia, ‘Alzheimer’s Type,’ progresses. She is surrounded by those who mean the most to her and during this time, we ask for prayers for Pat and her family and friends, as well as your utmost respect and privacy. Thank you." The Foundation did not mention hospice care in their statement. Regardless, she deserves our prayers, meditative thoughts, candle-lighting, etc, because it sounds like she is suffering a great deal. I have fond memories of watching Ge

Abby Lee Miller pleads guilty to Money Laundering and Bankruptcy Fraud.

Image
Photo Credit: timeinc Looks like our favorite Dance teacher has gotten herself into a bit of a pickle! Abby Lee Miller was charged with 20 counts of concealing assets, bankruptcy fraud, and a criminal count that involves international monetary information (basically, she failed to report $10K+ worth of funds she brought into the US from her trip to Australia). On Monday, Miller pleaded guilty to one count of failing to report monetary information. According to Judge Terrence McVerry, if Abby Lee Miller is convicted, she faces a fine of half a million dollars, and up to 6-10 years in prison. Miller is currently out on bond and she is allowed to travel. She will be sentenced in Pittsburgh on October 11. Abby Lee Miller released the following statement to ET last week: "Events over the past several months have been extremely challenging for me, my family, my friends and most important, my students. Because of this I made the very difficult decision to close the door o

Supreme Court strikes down Texas abortion restrictions.

Image
Photo Credit: theroot Today, the Supreme Court struck down a law that made it very difficult for women to get an abortion in Texas. The 5-to-3 decision overturns the Texas law that has been in existence since 2013. This law required doctors to have admitting privileges at hospitals, and for facilities to mirror walk-in surgical centers. Since 2013, many clinics dropped abortion services in Texas (which means women were probably going to Mexico to get botched abortions. Hmm, when did it become 1972?). Many pro-choice activists, and pro-life activists, stood outside the Supreme Court as justices made their ruling. My Two Cents I am 100% happy with SCOTUS making this ruling. I am a pro-choice feminist and I wear the badge proudly. I am pro-choice because I know way too many women who have been sexually assaulted and raped. Unfortunately, some woman who are raped get pregnant. These women should have that option to abort the pregnancy, especially since it came out of such a h

'The Bachelorette:' Justin Bieber is team Chad.

Image
Photo Credit:eonline Chad Johnson from 'The Bachelorette' may be one of the most hated men in America, but he has a fan in Justin Bieber. Up until Chad's elimination, the Biebs was cheering him on as the "alpha male" unleashed fury among the other male contestants. During one episode, the 22-year-old "Love Yourself" singer filmed himself watching the infamous 2-on-1 date Chad went on with JoJo and Alex. Biebs laughed heartily at Chad Johnson's suggestion that Alex Woytkiw have a glass of milk. Justin Bieber captioned the clip on Instagram with: "Good point chad milk is delicious. And yeah I watch the bachelorette don't judge me." After Chad was eliminated, he did return to the house for one last creepy encounter with the other contestants. This won't be the last you see of Chad, however. Chad Johnson will be stirring up trouble later this summer on season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise . Set your DVR, Biebs! In other 'Ba

Kelly Clarkson to release a soul record in 2017, and more surprises!

Image
Photo Credit: Billboard2015 Throughout this entire week, Kelly Clarkson has hinted that a MAJOR announcement was to be made on Friday. Well, it's Friday , and Kelly Clarkson has over-delivered on the following announcements! Announcement #1 : She fulfilled her contract with RCA last year, and has now signed with Atlantic Records! Announcement #2 : She is making a soul album! And it will be out in 2017! Announcement #3 : She has a new website! Kelly Clarkson had trouble containing her excitement about working with Atlantic. She did, however, say this about the major label: "What’s cool about Atlantic, too, is that they love every part of my personality. I love the country side of me and I love the Broadway side of me and I love the pop-side of me and the soulful-side of me, and they’re really down to make whatever record I’m into which I’m super excited about." Atlantic Records is equally as excited to be working with Kelly Clarkson: "We are thrilled

#BeckyWithTheBadGrades surfaces on Twitter.

Photo Credit: bossip She's baack! On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court slammed Abigail Fisher's claims that she was denied entry to the University of Texas because she is white. In 2008, Abigail Fisher sued the university because she was " denied admission to the institution based on affirmative action policies that violated the Constitution's equal protection act. " When Fisher applied to the school, she applied during a very competitive year. Even though she had a strong GPA and a modest SAT score, she didn't place in the top 10% of her high school graduating class. A good amount of other applicants had much better grades than Fisher. While many young men and women would have gotten over the rejection and moved on to their next choice, Abigail Fisher decided to sue. ( Note: when I was applying to colleges in 2000 and 2001, I didn't get into my first choice. Did I sue? No. I chose from the 4 schools that I DID get into, and I picked a really goo

Understanding what "sexually fluid" means.

Image
Photo Credit: zimbio Recently, 'Younger' star Nico Tortorella revealed that he is 'sexually fluid' in an interview with Page Six. The 27-year-old actor stated that he has never been in " any sort of closet, " and that he has " always done me and never been shy. " He also stated that he has always been vocal about it. Currently, Tortorella is dating a woman, but he embraces having an attraction to both men and women. "It’s just a fluidity. We’re all kind of moving into this one situation." Earlier this year, Tortorella opened up to Cosmo magazine about his outlook on modern relationships: "I think that an open relationship or a polyamorous relationship or an understanding of sorts is acceptable in this day and age. Relationships and people are my hobby of sorts. I love exchanging energy with people and getting to know people and falling in and out of love." So what's the difference between bisexuality and sexual

Bernie Sanders plans to vote for Hillary Clinton in November.

Image
Photo Credit: wcvb During an interview with MSNBC, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders revealed that he will be voting for presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in November. "I think the issue right here is, I'm going to do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump. I think Trump in so many ways will be a disaster for this country, if he were to be elected president." Does this mean he is dropping out of the race? According to the Bern man, he is still fighting his way to the Democratic National Convention. Sanders told CBS this morning that he is not ready to endorse Clinton because she " hasn't brought forth the proposals that I think the American people need to hear. " Sanders is in talks to endorse Hillary Clinton at some point, but he is unsure of a timeline. He is still looking to see if they can work together to not only defeat Trump, but to strengthen America. What does this mean for his supporters? While nothing

'Nashville' will be without two series regulars in season five.

Image
Photo Credit: vulture Fans rejoiced when CMT picked up hit TV show 'Nashville' for a fifth season. Yesterday, news broke that the show will be without two series regulars. It is being reported that Aubrey Peeples and Will Chase have departed the show. The last time we saw Will Chase (Luke Wheeler), he had just helped client Will Lexington fight against homophobia. We also saw him reconnect with his son and ex-wife. Any loose ends that we had with Luke Wheeler were tied up. The last time we saw Aubrey Peeples (Layla), she had just been exposed for lying to Avery in order to keep Avery and Juliette apart. All of this stems from the loss she suffered when Jeff Fordham died trying to save Juliette Barnes. Layla decided to get revenge on Juliette Barnes by stealing Avery away from her, making him fall for her. After Avery found out the truth, he told her off. We saw Layla exposed as the horrible villain that she is. The departures of Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples would ha

Bernie Sanders admits unlikeliness that he will get the nomination.

Image
Photo Credit: thenation Democratic favorite Bernie Sanders sat down with C-SPAN and admitted that " it doesn't appear that I'm going to be the nominee. " Sanders has not yet ended his bid for president, even though Hillary Clinton clinched the nomination after her huge win in New Jersey and California. Bernie Sanders did meet with presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on June 14. Both candidates discussed how to bring presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump down. Last week, Sanders streamed a video message from his website, saying that he intends to bring his message to the Democratic National Convention at the end of July. Many in the Democratic party are hoping that Sanders concedes and endorses Clinton before the convention. As of right now, Sanders has not mentioned anything about endorsing Hillary Clinton. My Two Cents Whether or not Bernie Sanders drops out now or at the convention, you have to admit that he has pretty much changed

Amazon and Apple to compensate e-book buyers for over-payment on books.

Photo Credit: midgetmomma E-book readers: Check your Amazon account. You may have some money credited to you! If you have bought an e-book (from a major publisher) on Amazon between April 2010 and May 21, 2012 , you could have free money in your account. If you have purchased bestsellers between those two dates, you may have even MORE money waiting for you (A friend of mine was credited nearly $70)! Amazon sent out notices to users on Tuesday, letting them know that they have been awarded money in a Justice Department lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed because consumers had overpaid on books due to price fixing. Many major book publishers (and company behemoth Apple) had lost an antitrust case back in 2012 after the Department of Justice sued the companies for "collusion in setting the price of e-books." The Supreme Court ruled that $400 million will go to e-book purchasers. Anyone who purchased a NYT bestseller between the above dates will get a $6.93 credit for

Farrah Abraham stirs up more parenting controversy with bikini photo shoot.

Image
Photo Credit: okmagazine Another day, another Farrah Abraham parenting controversy. The 'Teen Mom OG' star has recently come under fire for a photo shoot her 6-year-old daughter Sophia participated in recently. Farrah Abraham and Sophia were in Orlando, Florida at her photo shoot when she allowed Sophia to pose for a few photos. Little Sophia was wearing a multi-colored bikini and posing for the photographers. Abraham posted the photo on her Instagram with the caption: "#mommanager #behindthescenes @sophialabraham #supermodel shoots are going so awesome today! #Orlando #Florida #sophia" Photo Credit: the hollywoodgossip Followers of Farrah Abraham's were outraged at the bikini photo and how her daughter was posing. Many called her parenting skills into play. My Two Cents Everyone that follows this blog knows that I'm not a fan of Farrah Abraham's. However, I don't see the bikini she's wearing as inappropriate. #TrumpSoPoor hilariously trends on Twitter.

Image
Photo Credit: liberationewsorg Immediately following the release of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's latest FEC filings, Twitter (and the rest of the world) erupted with laughter. The filings showed that Trump only has $1.3 million on hand. Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton currently has over $42 million on hand. Bernie Sanders also has more money than Trump at this point. Throughout his entire campaign, Trump had bragged about how much money he has and how he can self-fund his own campaign. If that were the case, than why would he only have a little more than $1 million on hand? From what I've gathered, Trump did raise money for the campaign. However, it is being reported that he used the campaign money to fund his own businesses (Hmmmm..). Anyways, the lovely people on Twitter came up with some amazing #TrumpSoPoor posts. Here is a snippet of what I found: #TrumpSoPoor republicans are cutting his benefits and telling him to get a job #WelfareQu

Donald Trump calls for the United States to consider profiling American Muslims.

Image
Photo Credit: AOL On Sunday's "Face the Nation," Donald Trump stated that in order to stop terrorism, the United States needs to start profiling Muslim Americans (yes, this includes the Muslim Americans who were born here). "I think profiling is something we’re going to have to start thinking about as a country. I hate the concept of profiling. But we have to use common sense. We’re not using common sense. Other countries do it, and it’s not the worst thing to do." His comments were made on the one week anniversary of the worst mass shooting in modern American history. Immediately following the mass shooting, Donald Trump patted himself on the back for "being right" about "radical Islamic terrorism." Of course, he truly showed his ignorance about the situation the day after the shooting when he stated in a speech that the shooter, Omar Mateen, was "born an Afghan." The shooter was born here in America. My Two Cents A

Ron Lester, Billy Bob from "Varsity Blues," has died.

Photo Credit: sodahead Ron Lester, the man, the myth, the legend from "Varsity Blues," passed away on Friday evening. He was 45 years old. Media outlets originally posted that he had been moved to hospice care after suffering from kidney and liver failure. Shortly after that news came out, Lester's agent Dave Bradley broke the news. Most high schoolers in 1999 who grew up in a small town could probably relate to this movie. I know my high school did; we even had our own version of "Billy Bob." (Dude totally looked like Ron Lester. It was uncanny!) Lester's weight had always been talked about. At his heaviest weight of 508 pounds, he decided to get gastric bypass surgery. During the surgery, he flat-lined. After the surgery he was able to lose over 300 pounds. Ron Lester is survived by his fiancee, Jennifer Worland. My Two Cents I am so sad by this loss. He was hilarious in "Varsity Blues." My thoughts and prayers go out to his l

That moment when you find out you have Osteopenia at 33.

Image
Photo Credit: ethicanagorg The last several years of my life have been pretty crazy. In 2011, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. In 2012, I tested positive for Ulcerative Colitis. In 2013, I severely injure my back. In 2014, I have surgery to fix the problem (which fails). In 2015, I hit a serious rock bottom (which I have publicly documented in order to raise awareness and help others in similar situations), and I begin treatment for Crohn's Disease. During the time between 2013 and present day, I've endured moderate to severe pain. Every single day. Sometimes I can walk, sometimes I cannot. This brings us to what this post is really all about: Osteopenia. On Thursday, I got a call from my doctor and she told me that my bone density scan revealed Osteopenia in my lumbar spine (the entire lumbar spine L1-L5). She told me everything that I need to do, which includes adding another medication to my cocktail of medications that I take each day. What is Osteopenia? When

Rocker Meatloaf recovering after collapsing on stage Thursday night.

Photo Credit: ndtv Legendary rocker Meatloaf was performing a concert in Canada Thursday night when he suddenly collapsed on stage. The 68-year-old was performing his hit song "I'd Do Anything For Love," when he experienced a health crisis and fell to the floor. He was taken to an Edmonton hospital for treatment. Concert-goers tell reporters that the singer seemed "out of it" during the performance, and they were very concerned for his health. Meatloaf had cancelled a concert in Calgary due to illness this past Monday. In the last hour, Meatloaf's reps put out the following statement about Meatloaf's status: "Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — he's responsive and recovering well. He extends his heartfelt thanks fo

Yolanda Hadid leaving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'

Photo Credit: Inquisitr After four years on 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' Yolanda Hadid is parting ways with the show. While the decision was abrupt, she released a statement explaining why she is leaving so suddenly: "Sometimes we don't get to control the ending of the chapters in our life. I am leaving what's over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is [a] new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv Family. Thank you to all the fans for your love and unwavering support these past 4 years. I am grateful for the housewife experience and all it has [taught] me." The 52-year-old cited needing more privacy in her life, and wanting to focus on her family and health issues. Hadid's struggle with Lyme Disease has been a focal point on the show, with many of the women questioning the severity of her Lyme Disease. Network Bravo released a statement in response to Hadid: "Yolanda was a g

"The Nanny's" Ann Morgan Guilbert has passed away at 87.

Image
Ann Morgan Guilbert, a woman who is known for her roles on The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Nanny, passed away on Tuesday. She was 87 years old. Family members of Guilbert's said that the cause of death was cancer. Guilbert's career spanned over several decades. Her most notable work was on The Dick Van Dyke Show, where she played the neighbor of Laura Petrie (played by Mary Tyler Moore). Decades later, Guilbert went on to play Fran Drescher's Grandma Yetta on hit 90's sitcom "The Nanny." My Two Cents I have no shame in admitting this, but, I am a HUGE fan of "The Nanny." Grandma Yetta was my favorite character on the show (sorry Fran Fine, she had more style and flair). RIP Ann Morgan Guilbert!

Noah Galvin's controversial interview nearly cost the cast a full second season of "Real O'Neals."

Image
Photo credit: yahooimage "Real O'Neal's" star Noah Galvin has been in the news lately for his outlandish interview with Vulture. In the interview, Galvin, 22, accused Eric Stonestreet from "Modern Family" of "playing a caricature of a stereotype." He then commented on Colton Haynes' 'coming out' as being "f--king pu--y bullsh-t." ABC was not pleased with the interview and threatened to reduce the second season's episode order. The show's execs begged ABC to not cut the episode order. From what I've learned, ABC has had issues with Galvin in the past. They say that he has a "sense of entitlement" and an "ego." After the Vulture interview, Galvin issued the following statement: "I think Eric Stonestreet is a wonderful actor. I apologize to everyone I’ve hurt with my comments and understand the damage that has been done. I am new to this and will certainly commit to being more thoug

Did Donald Trump accuse our soldiers of stealing recovery funds?

Image
Photo Credit: nydailynews The amount of disgust that I have for the presumptive GOP nominee is insurmountable. Donald Trump delivered a speech in North Carolina last night, and one of the things he discussed were our amazing troops. Unfortunately, Trump didn't have much of a regard for the men and women in our military. In fact, he accused some of the soldiers who fought in the Iraq War of stealing recovery funds . "Iraq, crooked as hell. How about bringing baskets of money? Millions and millions of dollars and handing it out? I want to know, who are the soldiers that had that job because I think they're living very well right now, whoever they may be." Hope Hicks, Donald Trump's spokeswoman tried to clarify that Trump was talking about Iraqi soldiers and not U.S. soldiers. According to the Center for Public Integrity, between 2005 and 2015, 115 U.S. soldiers were convicted of bribery and theft in Afghanistan and Iraq. Around the Memorial Day holiday,

Washington Post banned from Donald Trump's campaign events.

Image
Photo Credit: WashingtonPost Donald Trump reminds me of Veruca Salt from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." He has the same sullen appearance, and the childish "I want an oompa loompa now, daddy" mentality. In Donald Trump's case, he wants coverage from media that support his values and ideals. Apparently, Washington Post does not support his values. On Monday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump announced to the world that he was "revoking the press credentials" of Washington Post. He feels that the popular newspaper has treated him unfairly. All of this came about when the newspaper reported on something Donald Trump said about the Orlando shootings. The original title of the article was "Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting." Trump was furious at that. "I am no fan of President Obama, but to show you how dishonest the phony Washington Post is, they wrote: 'Donald Trump sugge

'Matilda' star Mara Wilson opens up about her sexuality.

Photo Credit: eonline Moved by the tragic events that took place on Sunday in Orlando, former child actress Mara Wilson has decided to embrace her authentic self. The "Mrs. Doubtfire" star wrote a series of tweets revealing that she identifies as bisexual and queer. Wilson, 28, posted a photo of herself from 10 years ago at a gay club with friends. She then tweeted the following: "Me at a gay club when I was eighteen. I feel embarrassed looking at it now...Being a 'straight girl' where I clearly didn't belong, but I will say, I felt so welcomed there. I have never had a better experience at a club than I did then. Great music and people. And one of my friends met his partner that night! I haven't been to one since college, except once when a friend brought me along. I didn't feel like I belonged there. But the LGBTQ community has always felt like home, especially a few years later when I, uh, learned something about myself. So thank you.

Please donate to the Kim Morris memorial fund.

On Sunday morning, Kim Morris, and 49 others lost their lives. Kim (or KJ as her friends called her), was working as a bouncer at Pulse in Orlando, Florida. She was originally from Torrington, CT. I knew her from Teikyo Post University in Waterbury, CT. She was a senior when I was a freshman. While I didn't know her personally, I saw her around campus a lot. She was well-liked. My best friend knew her. My best friend said that KJ was an amazing person to know, and that she helped her acclimate to college life. When my best friend told me that KJ was among the casualties in this massacre, I felt my heart fall into my stomach. I was angry, I was sick, I wanted to trash the f*cking room I was in. I was already heated by the massacre because this happened to a community that I am a part of, but to find out that it happened to someone I knew, that was the breaking point for me. I'm not alone in this. Many people are having those same emotions. We are all grieving. There is

Alf and Judy Jetson died: my inner child is sad.

Janet Waldo, who voiced Judy Jetson on The Jetsons, passed away on Sunday after suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. She was 96. Ms. Waldo also voiced Josie on "Josie and the Pussycats." Along with her voice acting, she made appearances on various TV shows, including "Get Smart," and "I Love Lucy."  We also lost Michu Meszaros, who played beloved Alf on 80s sitcom Alf. Meszaros died on Monday after being found unconscious and slipping into a coma. The 2-foot-9 legend had been in poor health for years, after suffering from a stroke 8 years ago. He was 76. Before Alf, Michu Meszaros performed with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. My Thoughts As soon as I heard about these deaths, I shouted "Nooo" into the vortex. I watched Alf, and the Jetsons, all the time when I was younger. I'm sad that they have passed on. I am thankful for what they have contributed to entertainment. Thoughts and prayers go out to t

Donald Trump says he's better for LGBT Americans than Hillary Clinton.

Image
Photo credit: wow In wake of the tragedy that occurred on Sunday, Donald Trump is using the opportunity to say that he is a friend of the gay community. He said that Hillary Clinton would "allow extremists into our country that reject our values." He added that immigration bans on countries that support Islamic extremism would 100% protect the LGBT community. Donald Trump delivered a national security speech in New Hampshire, and said this: "Hillary Clinton can never claim to be a friend of the gay community as long as she continues to support immigration policies that bring Islamic extremists to our country who suppress women, gays and anyone who doesn’t share their views. She can’t claim to be supportive of these communities while trying to increase the number of people coming in who want to oppress them. Ask yourself, who is really the friend of women and the LGBT community: Donald Trump with his actions, or Hillary Clinton with her words? Clinton wants to a

Photo credit: clothesonyou Actress Meg Ryan is known for her work in rom-com's such as "Joe Versus the Volcano," "You've Got Mail," "When Harry Met Sally," and "Sleepless in Seattle." During these movies, she was deemed "America's sweetheart." While it has been some time since she has been in a major blockbuster, people have still found a way to keep her name in their mouths, and not in a good way. On Sunday's Tony Awards Show, Meg Ryan introduced the cast of Broadway play "She Loves Me," a production that inspired her 1998 film "You've Got Mail." Anyways, shortly after presenting the cast, social media stirred up controversy surrounding her appearance . Some even speculated that she had plastic surgery. The tweets from Twitter trolls were incredibly cruel. One woman said that she was fervently moisturizing her neck so it doesn't turn out like Meg Ryan's. One man said that he was

This has been the most horrific weekend. Too many people have left us too soon. Beloved 'Voice' contestant Christina Grimmie was tragically gunned down after a concert on Friday night. She was 22 years old. She left quite a mark on the world of music during the time she was here. She made many friends, including Selena Gomez and Adam Levine. Levine and Grimmie became good friends from working together on 'The Voice,' and Levine was left understandably devastated by Grimmie's death. The 'Voice' coach posted a very heartfelt message of grief on social media. After he posted it, he reached out to Grimmie's family and offered to pay the funeral costs, including her plane flight. Marcus, Christina Grimmie's brother, shared the news on his Facebook. Grimmie also had a GoFundMe page, which has exceeded 100K in donations. Brian Teefey, Grimmie's manager, made a statement about the GoFundMe page: "Now a friend just told me to look at the

In wake of Orlando tragedy, Donald Trump asks President Obama to resign.

Photo credit: CBSNewYork We all know that Donald Trump operates on a different wavelength. If he were actually human, he would have shown a shred of compassion for those lost in Sunday's mass shooting. While he spent most of his day priding himself on being right about wanting a ban on Muslims, he did take some time out to attack the President. After President Obama addressed the nation, Mr. Trump went on Twitter and tweeted the following: "Is President Obama going to finally mention the words radical Islamic terrorist? If he doesn't he should immediately resign in disgrace!"   Later that day, he reiterated his call on banning all Muslims from entering the country: "What has happened in Orlando is just the beginning. Our leadership is weak and ineffective. I called it and asked for the ban. Must be tough." Not once did Trump express his condolences to the victims and the families of those who were killed. Instead, he decided to use the mass shoo

Why TNT did not air the season premiere of "The Last Ship."

Photo credit: screenrant Fans who were awaiting the season premiere of "The Last Ship" last night were met with disappointment. TNT decided to postpone the season 3 premiere due to the tragedy that took place in Orlando, Florida in the early hours of Sunday morning. At least 50 people died, and another 53 were injured when a gunman opened fire at a popular club in Florida. Season 3 of "The Last Ship" was to open with gunshots being fired at a nightclub full of patrons. TNT has not announced a new premiere date for the season premiere of "The Last Ship." My Two Cents I am really glad that TNT had enough respect to postpone the premiere. Even though I am a fan of the show, I think it would be inappropriate to show an episode involving that subject matter. Thank you, TNT! On a personal note, last night my best friend from college told me that a girl that we went to college with was among the victims of the Pulse tragedy: KJ Morris. I didn

Donald Trump boasts on Twitter about how right he was about Muslims, in wake of Orlando tragedy.

Image
Photo Credit: businessinsider You knew it was coming. Donald Trump has to be make everything about him, even if it comes at the expense of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. As the world knows, terror and hate struck Orlando in the wee hours of Sunday morning. A gunman went into Pulse in Orlando and opened fire. At least 50 people have died, and another 53 are in critical condition. The shooter, Omar Mateen, is also dead from a shootout with police. Mateen was later proven to have attachments to terrorist group ISIS. The above revelation added fuel to Donald Trump's fire. He tweeted the following message : "Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don't want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!" An hour later, he posted a similar message on Facebook. My Two Cents We all know how much Donald Trump hates Muslims, and loves himself. He loved that Mateen was proven to have allegiance to ISIS.

Adele had the best comeback for a critic who questioned her vocal ability.

Photo Credit: buzznigeria Adele has been in our lives for quite sometime. She has gifted us many amazing songs with that powerhouse voice of hers. Unfortunately, there are people who question how talented she really is (I know, what the f*ck!?). A producer by the name of Tony Visconti sat down with The Daily Star and said this about Adele's vocal skills: "You turn the radio on and it's fluff, you are listening to 90 percent computerized voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it's even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We don't know." Well, Adele found out about Visconti's comments, and called out anyone else who questioned her voice, in the most amazing way possible: "Some d–head tried to say that my voice was not me on record. Dude, suck my d—." My Two Cents Adele=1, Haters=0! While I can see Visconti's point about today's music, I think it's unfair to lump Adele into
