If you're a snow lover, you will be pleased. North America can expect a strong winter season. Below I will outline what your region can expect. Northeast Colder than normal Normal snowfall Above normal precipitation (ice, sleet, etc). The coldest periods will occur in the second half of December, second half of January, mid-February, and the first half of March. The snowiest periods will occur in the middle of November, the second half of January, second half of February, and the first half of March.
