'Bachelor' couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have split!

Bad news, Bachelor Nation. Beloved couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have called it quits.
The couple met on Ben's season of 'The Bachelor,' which premiered in January 2016.
Higgins and Bushnell released a joint statement to People, saying:
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways. We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time."
Social media accounts of the couple had gone quiet in recent weeks, with no pictures of the two of them together. The last mention of them as a couple was on May 4th, when Higgins posted a photo of the two of them together.

My Two Cents

I'm actually disappointed in this breakup. I was a huge fan of Ben and Lauren together during "The Bachelor." Their show on Freeform, "Happily Ever After," however, made me a bit nervous. There was always a disconnect between them.

As I was doing research into this story, I couldn't find a reason behind their split. I wonder, however, will we see either one of them on 'Bachelor in Paradise' this summer?

The series aired for 7 seasons before ending in 2014. Since Gordon Ramsay ended 'Kitchen Nightmares,' many fans wonder which restaurants have stood the test of time, and which ones did not.
