Multiple networks interested in rescuing 'Nashville.'

On May 25, 'Nashville' fans were outraged when the series ended with a cliffhanger. Juliette's fate hung in the balance during the last minute of the finale. While they did have an alternate (and happier) ending to air, they chose to air that cliffhanger. Lionsgate is confident that the show will be picked up by another network.

It looks like that confidence may be paying off. Producers of the show have revealed that several networks have shown an interest in rescuing the fan favorite.

The cast of 'Nashville,' and their fans have campaigned and petitioned for 'Nashville' to come back. One petition on Change.org has well over 150,000 supporters, all within the last few weeks.
Lionsgate execs spoke to reporters last week:
"The fans and everyone else is clamoring for many more seasons. These kinds of shows can go forever and ever — obviously that’s our hope and expectation, but we’ve got to do it one season at a time. So right now, we’re all about Season 5. So we hope to land Season 5 and keep talking about this show for years to come."

The cast still is under contract with the execs, so if season 5 is greenlit by another network, we won't be losing the stars we love. Also, Lionsgate has joined forces with Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz to help with season five production of 'Nashville.'

You know I will update you as soon as I learn more. To me, it sounds like things are moving in the right direction. :-)
