School in NC approves pepper-spraying trans students in bathrooms.

Just when you think that North Carolina conservatives couldn't get more disgusting in their hatred of the LGBT community, they do this:
A high school located in North Carolina just passed a rule that would allow high school students to carry pepper spray on their person for defense. More specifically, the school board is allowing them to carry the spray in order to "defend themselves" against transgender students.

School board member Chuck Hughes said this about the topic:
"Depending on how the courts rule on the bathroom issues, it may be a pretty valuable tool to have on the female students if they go to the bathroom, not knowing who may come in."

There are some board members that worry that the pepper spray could be used on teachers. They tried to use some past incidents where that was the case. The conservative transphobes overruled them.

My Two Cents

Really!? Is this what we have resorted to in lieu of understanding? How many times have I made the point that the transgender community is willing to educate people about what being trans means. Why do people have to resort to violence? Why are we allowing our children to bring pepper spray into school for the sole purpose of harming an innocent trans girl or trans boy? Are you conservatives off your meds? What has that trans girl or trans boy ever done to you?

How about, instead of harming your peer, you talk to that trans girl or trans boy? Ask them questions. Ask them their preferred pronouns. Become aware. There is a whole world outside of your bigotry and it is a glorious world. So many different people from all walks of life. So many people we can learn from.

I know I've come down hard on conservatives, but I already know enough about you to formulate a correct opinion of you (my ex's family is extremely conservative, and just as homophobic, transphobic, sexist, racist, and xenophobic as the lawmakers who devised up HB2): you are hateful, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, self-righteous d*uchebags. How DARE you advocate violence against innocent trans kids? Where is your soul?
