The Guinness World Records has confirmed that Scooter, a cat from Mansfield, Texas is now the Oldest Living Cat.

Scooter was born in 1986 and lives with his human, Gail Floyd. Gail has been with Scooter since the day he was born. At four weeks old, Scooter lost his feline mother. Gail stepped up and raised Scooter as if he were her own child.
When Scooter was a kitten, he was very active. He did normal kitty activities, such as playing with hair, jumping around, "talking," and waiting at the door for Gail to come home from work. Gail and Scooter have had many exciting adventures together, having traveled to 45 of the 50 US states. Scooter even pays a visit to Gail's mother who lives in a nursing home.

Gail was asked about what contributes to Scooter's long life? She replied that remaining active is a huge contributor. Activity makes him happy, along with visiting new people and seeing new places.

Scooter has had some health problems in recent years. In 2014, he broke his leg and has been under the care of doctors ever since. His doctors have a lot to say about Scooter:
"Scooter is quite an amazing cat, with a strong will to live."

My Two Cents

Scooter looks like such a love! Just look at those eyes!
