North Carolina's anti-LGBT law will cost the state billions in federal aid.

It's a no-brainer that the anti-LGBT law (and the law's backers) have gotten themselves into a very deep hole. Well, that hole is about to get a hell of a lot deeper.

According to Addicting Info and The Advocate, the Obama Administration is stepping in and issuing governor McCrory an ultimatum: either repeal the law, or billions of dollars in federal aid will be pulled from your state.
North Carolina already faces numerous lawsuits from businesses and from supporters of the LGBT community. Many businesses have made plans to leave the state, if they haven't done so already.

So what will this do to the state of North Carolina? Well, without federal aid and revenue from businesses, schools will start to close. Also, roads will begin to crumble and not get repaired. You can guarantee that many people will lose their jobs. Those who are on housing assistance may find themselves homeless.

Supporters of the anti-LGBT law are calling the ultimatum illegal, saying that the federal government does not have the right to single out NC because of this law.
(Actually, the federal government does have the right to single you out because the law is disparaging a community of individuals based on gender identity and sexual orientation).

My Two Cents:

You guys already know how I feel about this law. It is a repugnant law and a 'slap in the face' to their fellow American. It's tragic that it has come to this for NC, but I guess conservatives would rather be set in their ways, than to save their state.

I have family in NC, and I worry about them. If all of these things happen to NC, what will happen to my family members? What will happen to every family in NC?

To my readers in NC, I know not all of you approve of governor McCrory's anti-lgbt law. What he is doing to your state is horribly wrong and I really hope he repeals the law, and resigns.

Those of us who don't live in NC, we need to understand that many residents of that state disapprove of the anti-lgbt law. We need to be encouraging and supportive to them, as they are the ones suffering the consequences of this law.

Conserva-turds in NC, you've really screwed yourselves BIG TIME. If you give a damn about your fellow citizens, you will remove your heads out of your backsides and repeal this law.
