Candace Cameron Bure slammed by fans over 'Fuller House' scenes and "racy outfits."

Everywhere Candace Cameron Bure looks, she sees someone hating on her new show 'Fuller House.'
The openly conservative 39-year-old came under fire by her Christian fans for her "provocative attire," alcohol drinking scenes, and the two same-sex kisses that occurred later in the season.
Christian fans took to her Facebook fan page to express their disappointment.

One fan wrote: "We were promised over and over again and that this would be family friendly show that we loved in the original Full House."

Another said: "Fuller House is disappointing. There were some good points, but sadly, they were overshadowed by the very ugly parts."

Perhaps the biggest outcry came from this commenter who said the following:
"I waited a long time to watch this and I was so excited, but the gay/lesbian act scenes uh NO..the profanity used, and the lack of clothing on some were just a huge disappointment..If you're going to state youre a Christian then you can't live in a world of sin and act like it's ok."

My Two Cents:

Oh brother. It is just a show, and she is just playing a character. DJ Tanner-Fuller is not a self-professed Christian, but she does have some morals and values similar to Bure's own beliefs. I didn't see anything wrong with how Bure was dressed on the show (I mean, that club dress was modest compared to what the kids wear nowadays. Besides, all the parts were covered up. BTW, nice gams Candace!).

As far as the kissing scenes are concerned, DJ certainly got action (she also had a similar love triangle with Nelson and Viper on the original Full House show. She didn't get grief for that!).
The same-sex kisses were comedic. We all know that the characters (Steve and Matt, and Stephanie and Kimmy) are as straight as an arrow. We've seen two same-sex characters make out for comic effect before. I'm not sure why this is a problem. People are also squawking about DJ Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler's Dirty Dancing scene on the Club episode. Folks, these girls were just dancing. It was comedy. Laugh. I promise God won't smite you for laughing.

One of Bure's fans posted about profanity. What profanity? I've heard worse profanity coming out of a kindergarten classroom. Come on people. Damn, hell, crap, etc are NOT hardcore swears. Besides, I've heard these "swears" spoken on the Disney channel. I'm sure Bure herself says this in her every day life and doesn't think twice about it.

I'm wondering if these haters are upset about DJ Tanner acting like an adult, or the fact that Bure got off the cross and is becoming more authentic in her morals.

I'm not Christian (I am spiritual with Buddhist beliefs), but I do know from Sunday school many moons ago, Jesus walked among the regular people, not the ones who had a cross lodged up their backsides.

Folks, cut Candace Cameron Bure some slack. I don't agree with her much, since our beliefs go together like oil and water, but she hasn't done anything wrong here. Perhaps you need to point the finger at yourself. Ask yourselves if YOU are being TOO JUDGMENTAL? The answer may surprise you.
