Breaking: Comedian Garry Shandling has died.

According to TMZ, Shandling died at a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday. He was 66 years old.

A source has said that Shandling appeared to be healthy mere hours prior to his reported death. A 911 call was made from Shandling's home before he went into the hospital.

A cause of death has not been released to the public.

Garry Shandling is best known for "The Larry Sanders Show," and 2000 movie "What Planet Are You From?" He is also known for his work behind-the-scenes on many shows throughout the years.
