Woman creates GoFundMe page to raise money she lost playing Powerball.

Cinnamon Nicole from Cordova, TN created the page after spending her life savings on Powerball tickets. She bought as many tickets as she could in order to win the $1.6 billion jackpot (she was sure that she would win). She later found out that the winning tickets were sold in California, Florida, and Tennessee.
Nicole claims to be stuck and unable to go home because she is flat broke. She made the GoFundMe page, and in 7 hours, was able to raise $800.

The following is the welcome message on her page:
"Please help me and my family as we have exhausted all of our funds. We spent all of our money on lottery tickets (expecting to win the 1.5 billion) and are now in dire need of cash. With your small donation of at least $1.00, a like  and one share, I’m certain that we will be able to pick ourselves up from the trenches of this lost and spend another fortune trying to hit it big again! PLEASE, won’t you help a family in need. DONATE NOW."

She also says that anyone who donates will become her #MCM or #WCW. (What the f*ck!?)

The fundraiser was eventually shut down, as the campaign violated the rules of the site.

My Two Cents:

Folks, I did some investigating on this and found out that the entire situation was a hoax. I went onto Cinnamon Nicole's Facebook page and members of her page confirmed the hoax.

I don't know which is worse: someone fundraising to get back money they lost while playing Powerball, or someone being bored enough to concoct such a hoax. Real people donated to that fundraiser. I hope those people were reimbursed.
As for the person who made the page, I'm not sure what you were trying to prove, but that wasn't funny.
