Is 'The Taco Cleanse' 2016's fad diet, and does it work?

It is not even a month into 2016, and new ways to lose weight are coming out of the wood work. One fad diet/cleanse that is making news on a national level is 'The Taco Cleanse."
Straight out of Austin, Texas, taco scientists have devised a plan called the 30-day taco cleanse. Everything that people need to know in order to be successful is in a book entitled, "The Taco Cleanse." The book showcases over 75 taco recipes that are vegan. The taco recipes include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

On the book's website, the authors state that people will wake up in the morning with a newfound enthusiasm because you will be starting your day with a breakfast taco.
While not all of the recipes in the book are vegan or vegetarian, the recipes are versatile, according to taco fanatic John Mione.

As far as healthy eating is concerned, experts weigh in saying that you can wrap up your veggies and beans in a corn tortilla or a lettuce leaf. For the inside of the taco, you can add cilantro, chopped onions, and tomatoes in with your beans.
If you are looking to lose weight on this cleanse, you still have to count your caloric intake. Those who have been on the taco diet have declared that it is much easier to keep track on this diet, than on other cleanse diets.

Celebrities who have tried the Taco Cleanse:
Because the diet is so new, there are no accounts of any famous people trying the cleanse. However, actress Jennifer Anniston has expressed interest in trying the cleanse.

My Two Cents:

I can actually see this being somewhat successful, especially if people substitute the flour tacos with lettuce.
We shall see as the year rolls on!
