Washington Post banned from Donald Trump's campaign events.

Donald Trump reminds me of Veruca Salt from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." He has the same sullen appearance, and the childish "I want an oompa loompa now, daddy" mentality.

In Donald Trump's case, he wants coverage from media that support his values and ideals. Apparently, Washington Post does not support his values.

On Monday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump announced to the world that he was "revoking the press credentials" of Washington Post. He feels that the popular newspaper has treated him unfairly.
All of this came about when the newspaper reported on something Donald Trump said about the Orlando shootings. The original title of the article was "Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting." Trump was furious at that.
"I am no fan of President Obama, but to show you how dishonest the phony Washington Post is, they wrote: 'Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando Shooting' as their headline. Sad!"
The Washington Post noted the headline and changed it shortly after. The Vice President for Communications told reporters that they changed it on their own accord, and they were never contacted by Trump's campaign.
Still, Trump's campaign decided to ban them from campaign events permanently.
They released the following statement:
"We no longer feel compelled to work with a publication which has put its need for 'clicks' above journalistic integrity. They have no journalistic integrity and write falsely about Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump does not mind a bad story, but it has to be honest."
The Washington Post made its own statement regarding the situation:
"Donald Trump's decision to revoke The Washington Post's press credentials is nothing less than a repudiation of the role of a free and independent press. When coverage doesn't correspond to what the candidate wants it to be, then a news organization is banished. The Post will continue to cover Donald Trump as it has all along — honorably, honestly, accurately, energetically, and unflinchingly."
The Washington Post joins many other news outlets in the 'banned' department: The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Politico, New Hampshire Union Leader, Univision, and the Des Moines Register.

My Two Cents

I've followed some of the Washington Post articles written about Donald Trump. I find them to be completely accurate.
So, if a report comes out that says something that Trump doesn't like, he just bans them? What's wrong Trump? Did they scratch under the surface and reach the depth of your bigotry? By the way, I saw the tweet in question. It was insinuating that Obama had something to do with the mass shooting. While I'm not a fan of Obama, I find it disgustingly unfair to put that blame on him. He had NOTHING to do with it. The Orlando tragedy was a HATE CRIME, carried out by a deranged lunatic.

Also, to ban press from your campaigns, what kind of message is that sending to the world? In the United States Constitution, we have a tradition of free press. This includes the press having the opportunity to write about politicians of all parties. When reporters write about public figures, they are holding them accountable. Thomas Burr from the National Press Club put it accurately that "any American political candidate who attacks the press for doing its job is campaigning in the wrong country."

Trump, you are going against our country's Constitution (in more ways than one). You should be ashamed of yourself.
