If you're among the millions of people who use (free) Hulu to keep up with the latest episodes of the hottest shows, you're in for a nightmare situation. Hulu announced on Monday that it will end the free streaming service in order to focus on its subscription service(s). The Hollywood Reporter was one of the first to share the news with the world. "The streaming service is taking steps to shutter its offering of no-cost, ad-supported television and movies, a core product of Hulu’s since it launched nearly nine years ago. Hulu will begin notifying customers of the change over the next few days, and members who have been using the free service will be offered free trials of a paid subscription." The Vice President of Hulu released the following statement: "For the past couple years, we’ve been focused on building a subscription service that provides the deepest, most personalized content experience possible to our viewers. Noah Galvin's controversial interview nearly cost the cast a full second season of "Real O'Neals."

Image
Photo credit: yahooimage "Real O'Neal's" star Noah Galvin has been in the news lately for his outlandish interview with Vulture. In the interview, Galvin, 22, accused Eric Stonestreet from "Modern Family" of "playing a caricature of a stereotype." He then commented on Colton Haynes' 'coming out' as being "f--king pu--y bullsh-t." ABC was not pleased with the interview and threatened to reduce the second season's episode order. The show's execs begged ABC to not cut the episode order. From what I've learned, ABC has had issues with Galvin in the past. They say that he has a "sense of entitlement" and an "ego." After the Vulture interview, Galvin issued the following statement: "I think Eric Stonestreet is a wonderful actor. I apologize to everyone I’ve hurt with my comments and understand the damage that has been done. I am new to this and will certainly commit to being more thoug...

Did 'Switched At Birth' get the ax?

Image
The latest rumor is that our favorite blended family may have their fifth season be their swan song. According to show creator Lizzy Weiss' Twitter account, 'Switched' will end the show with 103 "amazing" episodes. The show is about two families coming together after finding out that two teen girls were switched at birth. The aspect that made this show special is that one of the switched girls is deaf. A primetime show with the inclusion of the deaf community hasn't really been done before, but the producers and writers did such an amazing job. The premiere date for the fifth and final season has not been given. My Two Cents: I have been a dedicated watcher of 'Switched at Birth' since the beginning. I love shows that bring something new to the table, and 'Switched' did that. Because of this show, I learned so much about the deaf community, and it has made me want to learn sign language again (I used to know it pretty well, but I l...

Report: "Under the Dome" canceled.

After three edge-of-your-seat seasons, CBS has decided to cancel "Under the Dome." The series focuses on a town that became cut off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome. Townspeople try to find ways to adjust, while also facing extraterrestrial phenomenon. When the show first aired 2 years ago, it was instantaneously a hit. The series finale will air on September 10. A press release from the network said that all questions about the power and origin of the dome will be answered. The two groups of residents under the dome will engage in an ultimate battle, and some may not survive. My Two Cents: I have been a huge fan of this show since it first aired two years ago. To hear that it is being cancelled is sad, but, at the same time, I'm not surprised. With the way this season has been going, it has a feel that the series was coming to an end. I want to thank the show's creators for creating such an incredible show. Readers: Are you a fan of ...
