Review: Mary Lambert's song "Ribcage."

Mary Lambert is a soulful singer and songwriter who entered the scene in 2011. She is a self-taught pianist, and she began writing songs at the tender age of 6. Her songs are a glimpse into her past. Lambert's song, "Ribcage," is her newest hit, and it talks about a time when someone tried to profit off of her abusive past. Some time ago, she talked about her past with someone that was assumed trustworthy. That person decided to make money off of it, leaving Lambert feeling exposed. It was like she was reliving the abuse over and over again. To have something like that happen, how is one able to trust another human being? I already had somewhat of a connection to the song because I had a similar upbringing (not the sexual abuse, but the physical and mental abuse). "Ribcage" really spoke to the deepest ends of my soul. I thank Mary Lambert for sharing her past in her music. It definitely helps listeners relate to her on a deeper level. The video is just...
