Supreme Court strikes down Texas abortion restrictions.
Photo Credit: theroot Today, the Supreme Court struck down a law that made it very difficult for women to get an abortion in Texas. The 5-to-3 decision overturns the Texas law that has been in existence since 2013. This law required doctors to have admitting privileges at hospitals, and for facilities to mirror walk-in surgical centers. Since 2013, many clinics dropped abortion services in Texas (which means women were probably going to Mexico to get botched abortions. Hmm, when did it become 1972?). Many pro-choice activists, and pro-life activists, stood outside the Supreme Court as justices made their ruling. My Two Cents I am 100% happy with SCOTUS making this ruling. I am a pro-choice feminist and I wear the badge proudly. I am pro-choice because I know way too many women who have been sexually assaulted and raped.
