While the decision was abrupt, she released a statement explaining why she is leaving so suddenly: "Sometimes we don't get to control the ending of the chapters in our life. I am leaving what's over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is [a] new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv Family. Thank you to all the fans for your love and unwavering support these past 4 years. I am grateful for the housewife experience and all it has [taught] me." RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita's daughter Ashlee Holmes is pregnant!

Image
...and the good news just keeps on comin'! Jacqueline Laurita of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" confirmed to social media followers that her 25-year-old daughter Ashlee Holmes is pregnant with her first child. "Yes, that’s right! I’m going to be a #Glamma! @ashleenicholexx @c3peteo #SOExcited!" Ashlee Holmes shared the news on Instagram on Friday, saying: "Had so much fun at @thelittlekernel launch party tonight!! @c3peteo and I are so happy to announce that we’re sprouting a little kernel of our own *coming this fall*!!!" Last month, Holmes confirmed her engagement to Pete Malleo. My Two Cents: I've been following RHONJ for some time, and I remember how immature and selfish Ashlee Holmes was when she was younger. It is heartwarming to see her so happy and so grown up. She has come a very long way. She should be very proud of how far she's come. Congrats to the entire family!

Former 'Biggest Loser' contestant claims she was mentally and physically abused on the show.

Image
photo credit: YahooTV You know the season finale of "The Biggest Loser" is fastly approaching when former contestants come out and disparage the show's reputation. Former contestant Kai Hibbard spoke to the New York Post about her experience on the show. She states that the contestants on the show hardly ate. They were only eating foods that were being sponsored by the show (Jennie O, Larabars anyone?). They worked out 6 to 8 hours a day, and were pushed excessively through the program. Hibbard also states that the trainers had a sick and sadistic side to them. They "took pleasure" in watching contestants fail to meet their goals. Hibbard suffered severe symptoms because of her experience on the show. She states that her hair has been falling out and her period has stopped. She only sleeps three hours a night and she was diagnosed with thyroid issues.  On the show, she was told that she needed to be as thin as possible or else she would be worthless. ...

Reviewing Lifetime's new show: "The Sisterhood: Becoming Nuns"

Image
photo credit: zap2it New Lifetime reality series, "The Sisterhood: Becoming Nuns," is about 5 young women who are interested in becoming Catholic nuns. These young women will work alongside nuns in order to see if the nun life is for them. The 5 prospective nuns will endure the discernment phase (the phase where they will decide if they want to continue on their path of holiness). These women will leave behind their families and significant others for 6 weeks. They will give up all of their worldly items (cell phones, make up, etc) and learn from nuns from three different convents. They will be tested in their spiritual strength and in their fellowship with other prospectives. The cast members include: Christie, a 27 year old woman from California who loves country music and God. Claire, a 26 year old devout Catholic who works as a parish music minister in her hometown. She was home-schooled in her devout Catholic home. Eseni, a 23 year old former beauty q...

TLC cancels "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" because of June's sex offender boyfriend.

Image
photo credit: hollywoodlife Here Comes Honey Boo Boo....there goes Honey Boo Boo. TLC has decided to cancel the one-time ratings goldmine, due to reports that 35 year old June Shannon is dating a man who was convicted of child molestation in 2004. TLC released the following statement to People Magazine: "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well being." All activities related to "Honey Boo Boo" have also been cancelled. On Thursday, June Shannon released a statement saying that the reports are not true, and that her children are her first priority. Unfortunately, her apology meant jack shit to TLC. I don't blame TLC for cancelling the show. I applaud them for yanking the show as soon as the news broke. If the news is true, why would June Shannon subject her young daughters and grand-kids ( yes, the 35 year old is a grandmother....

Married at First Sight: a reality social experiment

Image
I'm not sure if any of you have seen this show, but channel FYI has this new show called "Married at First Sight." Relationship experts paired up 6 young singles with people who experts believe are their "ideal match." The 6 individuals don't get to meet their "ideal match" until their wedding day. The pairs say 'I do' and go on their honeymoon. Two of the couples end up getting "close" during the honeymoon, the other couple ends up taking it slow. After the honeymoon, the couples come home and find a place to live. The experiment lasts about 6 weeks, then the couples sit with the experts and determine whether or not they will stay married or get a divorce. Let's get to know the couples: -The first couple, Monet Bell and Vaughn Copeland, have a lot of sexual chemistry. However, they lack communication. When ever they do communicate, they argue. I don't see this couple staying together when the experiment ends...

Kanye West: "Want to win at life? You need Kim K skills."

Image
Oh brother! Kanye West graces the cover of GQ's August issue and gives the magazine a rather interesting interview on how we can be just as " cool " as his wife Kim K. He also gives us information about his life and how he is perceived in the media. The interview starts off with the subject of their wedding photo. He talks about how the picture got 2.3 million likes (on Instagram), and it's all because of Kim. He added that if it were any other picture (family, friends, etc), it wouldn't have gotten as many likes on Instagram. He talks about the ambiance of the picture and how it has so much cultural significance. *eye roll* He brags about how he brought all the creative class systems (music, reality TV, fashion, etc) together to one event. Then Kanye begins to make some dinosaur reference from the movie "Stepbrothers:" "Never lose your dinosaur." He said that even as he grew in cultural awareness, respect, and was put in a higher cla...
