Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the former Subway spokesmodel-turned-Maggot-eating-Monster was involved in a jailhouse scuffle. The family of the man who did what everyone in the world has been wanting to do since day one, spoke to the media about the brawl. The inmate, 60-year-old Steven Nigg, initiated the brawl. According to Nigg's brother Jimmy, Steven Nigg hates child molesters and intended on beating Fogle up. Fogle was left bruised and bloodied. Other things contributed to the brawl, including Fogle's money and celebrity status (apparently, Fogle was going around the prison yard flaunting his fame and fortune, trying to impress the bigger inmates). It was the fact that Fogle was a child molester that got him amped up. Nigg is in prison for a weapons charge. Because of the brawl, Nigg will spend 10 days in solitary confinement. According to the Associated Press, ex-Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was just sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in prison for child pornography and engaging in sex acts with minors. Fogle had pleaded guilty to one count each of engaging in sex acts with minors and receiving child pornography. Earlier this year, he admitted to paying for sex and receiving child pornography. In addition to his prison sentence, he agreed to pay $100,000 each to 14 of his victims. My Two Cents: While I wished the prison sentence was much longer, I'm glad that d*uchebag will be put away.
