Clinton in slim lead over Trump on day before Election Day.

Image
Photo Credit: civilbeat According to the latest CBS News poll, Democrat Hillary Clinton has gained  a 4 point lead over Republican Donald Trump. The poll has Clinton at 45%, whereas Trump is at 41%. In recent weeks, Trump had been in the lead, due to questions regarding the Clinton email controversy. Clinton has since been cleared of any wrongdoing, which probably helped her regain the lead in the election. Libertarian hopeful Gary Johnson is at 5%, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein is at 2%. Tomorrow's election is probably the most important election in our country's recent history. Many people have a lot to lose if Trump wins the election. We also have Clinton, who most people deem untrustworthy. If anyone here in America is thinking about sitting out of tomorrow's important election, I urge you to reconsider. Every vote counts, especially in this tight election. Right now, the pendulum can swing either way. Your vote could determine the election. Keep that in...

Countdown to Election Day: My Two Cents

Image
Photo Credit: hankewitz A week from today, the biggest election in our lives will be here. Millions of stressed out Americans will be venturing to the polls and will be casting their vote for the next POTUS. Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have traded shade in political rallies and debates. As of this publication, Donald Trump leads by 1% in National Polls. Along with millions of people, this terrifies the hell out of me. As a woman, I feel that a Trump leadership would set us back about 100+ years. Trump voters want him to overturn Roe VS. Wade, and they want Trump to overturn a woman's right to vote. Not only do I feel terrified as a woman, I feel terrified as a chronically ill and disabled woman. I am low-income and am on state insurance. Trump wants to overturn these programs that people like me need in order to survive. I have been struggling with auto-immune illnesses for years, and I need medication in order to stay in check. Also, I'm disabled. I developed...

Donald Trump to bring President Obama's half-brother Malik Obama to final debate.

Image
Photo Credit: centrictv Tonight, viewers from all over the country, and around the world, will witness the 3rd and last Presidential debate sh*tshow. As with any other presidential debate, each candidate is allowed to invite any guest they want. During the last debate, we watched as Donald Trump brought several women who were supposedly raped by Hillary Clinton's husband Bill Clinton (Trump must've lost the memo that stated that Bill Clinton wasn't running). Well, tonight, Donald is bringing Malik Obama as his guest . Malik Obama is the estranged half-brother of our current president Barack Obama. Malik Obama is a strong supporter of the reincarnated Hilter (Donald Trump). Malik Obama released a statement to Page Six, saying: "I’m excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again."   In turn, Donald Trump cooed about having Malik Obama as his guest: "I look very much forward to meeting and being with Malik. He gets it far better than ...

Marlee Matlin responds to Trump's abhorrent comments regarding deafness.

Image
Photo Credit: NYDailyNews Marlee Matlin is one of the most ah-mazing actresses in the world. She is beautiful, talented, and a class act (I am a HUGE fan of her work, and have been for many years <3 ). She also happens to be deaf. Being deaf hasn't stopped her from living her dream, and it won't stop her from clapping back at useless a**holes like Donald Trump. It was recently reported that not only did Trump make sexual comments toward Matlin while on Celebrity Apprentice, Trump himself called Matlin "retarded" due to her being deaf. The Daily Beast reported that the comments were made to her face and behind her back. He would also degrade her in a manner similar to how Trump mocked the NY Times reporter for being disabled. On October 14, Marlee Matlin clapped back at Trump, saying: "Recent media reports have circulated that Donald Trump allegedly referred me to as 'retarded.' The term is abhorrent and should never be used. The fact tha...

#RepealThe19th becomes one of the most trending topics of the election.

Image
This election has become historical for many reasons. We have our first female presidential candidate for a major party, and we have a television personality with no experience in politics running for the Republican party. No other election has raised this much uproar than this one. One topic that has started trending recently is a woman's right to vote. Women were given the right to vote in 1920. The women behind the 19th Amendment fought hard so we could vote. Everything from picketing to hunger strikes, to being arrested, they did it all to show that we deserve equal rights. Here we are in 2016, 96 years later, and our right to vote is being threatened. We all know that Donald Trump bleeds racism and misogyny. Well, so do his voters, and they are demanding that he repeals the 19th Amendment if he wins the election. Roe VS Wade is also on the agenda of laws that he wants to repeal. The women at the forefront of the 19th Amendment must be rolling around in their graves at th...

Hilarious memes and GIFs from Monday's Presidential Debate

Image
Just like all of you, I tuned into the debate on Monday night. Unfortunately, everything that I expected to happen, did happen. What I didn't expect, however, were the amount of hilarious memes and GIFs that have gone viral. Below, I will be sharing some of my favorites, beginning with the GIF that I love the most. via GIPHY Before some of you jump down my throat about not taking this election seriously, I am taking it seriously. This is just the sad state of where our country is at. We have candidates that are not trustworthy. One has the capability to start World War 3 (Trump), and one is just a tad on the shady side (Clinton). Like some of you, I'm scared for this country. I don't trust Clinton, but she is a far better choice than Trump. Some of us have a lot to lose if Trump wins the election. It's up to you, America. Make the right choice. #ReluctantlyWithHer

Ted Cruz endorses Donald Trump

Image
Photo Credit: downtrend Earlier this summer, Ted Cruz refused to endorse republican nominee Donald Trump for president. Cruz stated that he couldn't support a man who has directly insulted his wife and questioned his reputation. Well, all of that is now out the window. The tides of change have swept Ted Cruz away and sucked him into a black hole full of pro-Trumps. Ted Cruz released the following statement , explaining his sudden change of heart: "This election is unlike any other in our nation’s history. Like many other voters, I have struggled to determine the right course of action in this general election. In Cleveland, I urged voters, 'please, don’t stay home in November. Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket whom you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.' After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day...

The Dalai Lama mocking Donald Trump is the best thing you will see in your lifetime!

Image
On Thursday, the great and wise Dalai Lama spoke to Good Morning Britain about Donald Trump. During the interview, he did an amazingly accurate impression of the US Republican presidential nominee. First he mocks Trump's head, and then he mimicked Trump's mouth. See for yourself. It's the greatest thing ever! Blessings to you Dalai Lama! Namaste! <3 The Guardian was first to report on this topic.

Donald Trump refers to 'Obama-founded-ISIS' comment as "sarcasm."

Image
Photo Credit:newyorker Earlier this week, Donald Trump made a bold claim about both President Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. On Wednesday, Trump addressed his brainwashed followers in true fashion: a small jarb here, and a small jarb there. Then, he went for the gullet. He suggested that Hillary Clinton and Obama conspired together to create ISIS. During an interview following the rally, he insisted that his comments were true. Afterward, things spiraled for Trump as his comments spread like wildfire throughout all of social media. Here is what he said during the interview following the rally: "No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do. He was the most valuable player. I give him the most valuable player award. I give her, too, by the way, Hillary Clinton." In an attempt to save his a**, he logged onto Twitter and said that he was being " sarcastic ." On Friday, Trump tweeted the following: "Ratings challenged @CNN reports so ...

A complete list of musicians/bands who want Donald Trump to stop using their music.

Image
Photo Credit: FeelLib Trump-mania has swept the country, like a flesh-eating virus. Because of Trump, racism is at an all-time high. Because of Trump, homophobia is at an all-time high, and the list of countries that hate us keeps growing. Another list that keeps growing is the list of bands and musicians who don't want Donald Trump to play their music at campaign events. Here is a list of bands and musicians who disapprove of Trump's radical politics and beliefs: The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones have spoken out many a-times about Trump using their music. At the closing of the Republican National Convention, Trump played Rolling Stones classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Members of the band chastised Trump for disobeying their orders. A cease-and-desist order was sent to Trump's campaign. Adele During Trump's campaigning, he used one of Adele's hit songs. Adele released a statement saying that Trump does not have permission to...

Donald Trump air-kissing Mike Pence will be the most awkward thing you will see in your life.

Image
Photo Credit: foxnews The Republican National Convention has been quite the **** show. From Melania stealing Michelle Obama's speech from 2008, to 100 naked women storming the convention, to last nights boo-fest of Ted Cruz, we've seen it all. Then we have Donald Trump air-kissing Mike Pence. On the third night of the RNC, Mike Pence had just finished his speech when Donald Trump flocked to his side. He shook his hand while pursing his lips in Mike Pence's direction. Pence looked pretty shocked and moved out of the way. Photo Credit: cbsnews The 'almost kiss' had social media a-buzz well into Thursday, with many memes and jokes created at Trump and Pence's expense. Sorry, boys. You are not relationship goals, but you pretty much broke the internet with your unrequited bromance. COMING SOON: "Air-kiss to be added to the dictionary." Is this how Donald Trump will make America great again?

Ted Cruz does not endorse Donald Trump, and the crowd loses it!

Image
Yesterday, Republican senator Ted Cruz took the stage to announce that he will not be endorsing Presidential Republican nominee Donald Trump. The reaction Ted Cruz received was melodic booing from the audience. Cruz had signed a pledge to support the party's nominee. However, Cruz broke that pledge after Trump made horrifying comments about Cruz's father and wife. Trump accused Cruz's father of being a part of the John F. Kennedy assassination. Donald Trump also took 'below the belt' jabs at Ted Cruz's wife Heidi, calling her 'homely.' Trump shared a rather unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz on Twitter, and then shared a photo of his own wife, Melania Trump. The public mocking lasted for quite a while. On Thursday morning, Cruz met with his state's GOP delegation, and said this: "I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father. That pledge was not a blanket commitment that if you go and slander and atta...

Melania Trump totally plagiarized Michelle Obama's 2008 speech!

Image
Photo Credit: Salon media Yesterday, the widely dreaded Republican National Convention began. Scores of Republicans descended into Cleveland, Ohio to do what they do best: be racist, be homophobic, be patronizing, and steal other people's material. Melania Trump made a relatively bold impression at the convention on Monday. Sadly, it wasn't for her looks. It actually had to do with her speech. She stepped up to the podium, and in an instant, listeners were brought back to 2008 when First Lady Michelle Obama made the same speech. Let's look at the comparisons, shall we? Here is Melania's speech: "My parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect. We want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them." Now, he...

Mike Pence: What we need to know about Donald Trump's VP pick.

Image
On Friday morning, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump announced Indiana governor Mike Pence as his running mate. The choice came as a surprise to both the left and right, since Mike Pence is known for his old-school republican extremism. We all know that Trump is wishy-washy (which makes him all the more dangerous for this country, and the world). In Indiana, he is known for abortion bill HB1337. HB 1337 was among the most horrendous anti-abortion bills to ever be presented in this country. The bill banned women from seeking abortions based on fetal anomaly, gender, and race. The bill also required women to bury or cremate the fetus once it was aborted. The passing of this bill angered women so much, that some made a group called "Periods for Pence." These women would call and tweet Pence, detailing their menstrual cycles (which is genius in my opinion, LOL). Pence was also behind the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This bill would allow business owners to discri...

Donald Trump calls for the United States to consider profiling American Muslims.

Image
Photo Credit: AOL On Sunday's "Face the Nation," Donald Trump stated that in order to stop terrorism, the United States needs to start profiling Muslim Americans (yes, this includes the Muslim Americans who were born here). "I think profiling is something we’re going to have to start thinking about as a country. I hate the concept of profiling. But we have to use common sense. We’re not using common sense. Other countries do it, and it’s not the worst thing to do." His comments were made on the one week anniversary of the worst mass shooting in modern American history. Immediately following the mass shooting, Donald Trump patted himself on the back for "being right" about "radical Islamic terrorism." Of course, he truly showed his ignorance about the situation the day after the shooting when he stated in a speech that the shooter, Omar Mateen, was "born an Afghan." The shooter was born here in America. My Two Cents A...

Did Donald Trump accuse our soldiers of stealing recovery funds?

Image
Photo Credit: nydailynews The amount of disgust that I have for the presumptive GOP nominee is insurmountable. Donald Trump delivered a speech in North Carolina last night, and one of the things he discussed were our amazing troops. Unfortunately, Trump didn't have much of a regard for the men and women in our military. In fact, he accused some of the soldiers who fought in the Iraq War of stealing recovery funds . "Iraq, crooked as hell. How about bringing baskets of money? Millions and millions of dollars and handing it out? I want to know, who are the soldiers that had that job because I think they're living very well right now, whoever they may be." Hope Hicks, Donald Trump's spokeswoman tried to clarify that Trump was talking about Iraqi soldiers and not U.S. soldiers. According to the Center for Public Integrity, between 2005 and 2015, 115 U.S. soldiers were convicted of bribery and theft in Afghanistan and Iraq. Around the Memorial Day holiday, ...

Washington Post banned from Donald Trump's campaign events.

Image
Photo Credit: WashingtonPost Donald Trump reminds me of Veruca Salt from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." He has the same sullen appearance, and the childish "I want an oompa loompa now, daddy" mentality. In Donald Trump's case, he wants coverage from media that support his values and ideals. Apparently, Washington Post does not support his values. On Monday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump announced to the world that he was "revoking the press credentials" of Washington Post. He feels that the popular newspaper has treated him unfairly. All of this came about when the newspaper reported on something Donald Trump said about the Orlando shootings. The original title of the article was "Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting." Trump was furious at that. "I am no fan of President Obama, but to show you how dishonest the phony Washington Post is, they wrote: 'Donald Trump sugge...

Donald Trump says he's better for LGBT Americans than Hillary Clinton.

Image
Photo credit: wow In wake of the tragedy that occurred on Sunday, Donald Trump is using the opportunity to say that he is a friend of the gay community. He said that Hillary Clinton would "allow extremists into our country that reject our values." He added that immigration bans on countries that support Islamic extremism would 100% protect the LGBT community. Donald Trump delivered a national security speech in New Hampshire, and said this: "Hillary Clinton can never claim to be a friend of the gay community as long as she continues to support immigration policies that bring Islamic extremists to our country who suppress women, gays and anyone who doesn’t share their views. She can’t claim to be supportive of these communities while trying to increase the number of people coming in who want to oppress them. Ask yourself, who is really the friend of women and the LGBT community: Donald Trump with his actions, or Hillary Clinton with her words? Clinton wants to a...

In wake of Orlando tragedy, Donald Trump asks President Obama to resign.

Image
Photo credit: CBSNewYork We all know that Donald Trump operates on a different wavelength. If he were actually human, he would have shown a shred of compassion for those lost in Sunday's mass shooting. While he spent most of his day priding himself on being right about wanting a ban on Muslims, he did take some time out to attack the President. After President Obama addressed the nation, Mr. Trump went on Twitter and tweeted the following: "Is President Obama going to finally mention the words radical Islamic terrorist? If he doesn't he should immediately resign in disgrace!"   Later that day, he reiterated his call on banning all Muslims from entering the country: "What has happened in Orlando is just the beginning. Our leadership is weak and ineffective. I called it and asked for the ban. Must be tough." Not once did Trump express his condolences to the victims and the families of those who were killed. Instead, he decided to use the mass shoo...

Donald Trump boasts on Twitter about how right he was about Muslims, in wake of Orlando tragedy.

Image
Photo Credit: businessinsider You knew it was coming. Donald Trump has to be make everything about him, even if it comes at the expense of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. As the world knows, terror and hate struck Orlando in the wee hours of Sunday morning. A gunman went into Pulse in Orlando and opened fire. At least 50 people have died, and another 53 are in critical condition. The shooter, Omar Mateen, is also dead from a shootout with police. Mateen was later proven to have attachments to terrorist group ISIS. The above revelation added fuel to Donald Trump's fire. He tweeted the following message : "Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don't want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!" An hour later, he posted a similar message on Facebook. My Two Cents We all know how much Donald Trump hates Muslims, and loves himself. He loved that Mateen was proven to have allegiance to ISIS. ...
