On Sunday morning, Kim Morris, and 49 others lost their lives. Kim (or KJ as her friends called her), was working as a bouncer at Pulse in Orlando, Florida. She was originally from Torrington, CT.
I knew her from Teikyo Post University in Waterbury, CT. She was a senior when I was a freshman. While I didn't know her personally, I saw her around campus a lot. She was well-liked.
My best friend knew her. My best friend said that KJ was an amazing person to know, and that she helped her acclimate to college life.
When my best friend told me that KJ was among the casualties in this massacre, I felt my heart fall into my stomach. I was angry, I was sick, I wanted to trash the f*cking room I was in. I was already heated by the massacre because this happened to a community that I am a part of, but to find out that it happened to someone I knew, that was the breaking point for me.

I'm not alone in this. Many people are having those same emotions. We are all grieving.

There is a Memorial Fund page on GoFundMe for Kim Morris. All donations will go toward funeral expenses and to help her immediate family. Please donate and help KJ's family.

Here is her GoFundMe page:

Teikyo Post University will never forget. We are a family, and this family will be praying for you and yours. KJ will be missed and forever cherished by those close to her. RIP KJ! #TPU4LIFE
