Hillary Clinton declares herself the presumptive Democratic nominee for President.

After a big win in California, and 3 other states in yesterday's primaries, she surpassed the number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination.
On Tuesday morning, after she was already presumed to be the nominee, she urged people to vote anyway. With Bernie Sanders threatening to steal delegates from Clinton, Clinton held her own, and she had the unfailing support of her delegates.
Last night, Clinton took the stage in Brooklyn, NY and spoke about this moment in history:
"Barriers can come down. Justice and equality can win. This campaign is about making sure there are no ceilings, no limits on any of us. This is our moment to come together."
There is one more contest that the candidates will be campaigning for: the District of Columbia. The DC primary will be held next Tuesday. Clinton is setting her sights on Donald Trump, and she unofficially has the support of President Obama.
Clinton did make a shout-out to Bernie Sanders, and talked about Democrats needing to work together to overthrow Donald Trump.
As for Bernie Sanders, the man with the "never say die" attitude, he is continuing his fight. He will be working hard to persuade voters in DC, and he will also be working on the superdelegates that are already pledged to Hillary Clinton. Sanders didn't respond to Clinton's speech. He continues to blame mainstream media for his lack of support.
My Two Cents
Love Hillary Clinton, or hate Hillary Clinton, you cannot help but be proud of this moment in history. A woman has the chance to become President of the United States. This is what women 100 years ago were dreaming about. This is what women worked themselves to the bone for. A woman could have the ultimate power in this country. Yes, it is Hillary Clinton, but come on. This is HUGE!
As a woman, and a feminist, I'm celebrating. We can now tell our daughters and granddaughters that they can truly become whomever they want to be. They can even become President. The White House is no longer a 'man's only' domain. It can also be a domain for women.
....this doesn't mean I'm voting for her, by the way. She's still shady AF. However, if by some small chance Bernie Sanders joins forces with Hillary Clinton, I might be persuaded to vote for her in November.
