Are there any health benefits in "going commando" to bed?
During the Memorial Day holiday, I got together with some female friends and we had some fairly interesting conversations. Somehow, the topic of "going commando" to bed came up. One of my friends said that she doesn't wear underwear to bed. I looked at her, completely puzzled. She said that it's healthier to go to bed sans underwear. One of the reasons she gave me is that it prevents yeast infections.
After thinking about it for a while, I realized that my friend is right. In warm and wet areas of the body, bacteria can form and cause infection. It's basic human science.
However, even with my epiphany, I wasn't completely sold on the idea of "going commando" to bed. So, I decided to do a little research.
Medical experts say that female 'nether regions' need to be able to breathe in order to prevent odor, fungi, and to maintain pH levels. They highly recommend that women nix the underwear. If you are uncomfortable with going to bed sans underwear, wearing pajama shorts or pajama pants are acceptable.
Now, does this blogger recommend that you "go commando" to bed? I think it is worth a try.
