A Target store in Illinois was shaken when a small bomb went off in the women's bathroom on Wednesday.
According to Commander Joe Dugan, no one was injured when the explosion occurred. The bomb caused some damage, but nothing significant. It is theorized that a plastic bottle was used in the bomb.
The investigation is still ongoing. It is being reported that a woman is in custody.

It is no secret that Target has been widely criticized for supporting trans men and women using the bathroom according to their gender identity. The religious right actually has a petition promising to boycott Target. The petition has 1.3 million signatures, and it continues to grow in popularity.

As for whether crime is related to the bathroom policy, that's still up in the air, according to officials.
However, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it IS related.

My Two Cents
How can officials not see that this is a hate crime against Target's bathroom policy? Like I said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it is. More importantly, it is a hate crime against the trans community!
The religious right is so quick to call trans men and women criminals, when they themselves are the ones committing the crimes. Are you kidding me!?

I for one fully support Target's bathroom policy. I have no problem peeing next to a trans woman. I DO have a problem with sharing a planet with ultra-conservatives.
When can I make a petition to send conservatives to another planet (outside our solar system)?

I am glad that no one was injured in the explosion. Target, please don't change your rules because of these conservaturd bullies.
You will continue to have my business as long as you continue to support the LGBT+ community.
As for whomever did this, I hope they are caught and thrown in jail.
