Jerry Van Dyke dies at 86

The first major celebrity death of 2018 has occurred, and it is a legendary actor from a legendary family.
Jerry Van Dyke, brother of Dick Van Dyke, has passed away. He was 86.
Van Dyke passed away Friday due to declining health that stems from a car accident from a few years ago.

Jerry Van Dyke is best known for his role as Luther Van Dam in the hit show Coach. He made his television debut as Rob Petrie's brother Stacey on The Dick Van Dyke Show.
He also guest-starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Charles in Charge, and Raising Hope.

He is survived by his brother, actor Dick Van Dyke.
