During a performance of 'Hamilton,' the cast took time to address Veep-elect Mike Pence.
"We have a message for you, sir. We hope that you will hear us out. We, sir, we are the diverse America, who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold out American values and to work on behalf of all of us."

The audience applauded the cast. Previously in the evening Mike Pence, was booed by the crowd.
Donald Trump waged a Twitter war against the cast of 'Hamilton,' saying:
"Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen! The theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!"

Trump's campaign manage Kellyanne Conway retweeted Trump's words and added her own.
"This is so true. And @Mike_Pence deserves respect and a peaceful night out with his nephew and daughter."

My Two Cents

I was very proud of the cast of 'Hamilton,' for standing up to Pence and the Trump campaign. Their words were so eloquently put and very moving. The thing that I take issue with is the booing. Yes, Trump, Pence and their hatemongers are 50 shades of evil. However, there are better ways to handle that riff-raff. Words, people!

Mike Pence wasn't harassed. He was schooled.
