'The View' co-hosts joke about eating disorders on air, sparks outrage with fans.

Earlier this week, Joy Behar revealed that she asked her co-hosts what they'd rather be: anorexic or bulimic. Michelle Collins revealed that she would rather be bulimic, that way she can enjoy a meal.
Candace Cameron Bure revealed in recent years that she struggled with an eating disorder.
On the show, Bure said this:
"Please know that while this is in jest, as someone who has dealt with eating disorders, I don't want to make light of anyone that has it. I can joke about it because I've been there."

A massive sh*tstorm erupted on Twitter and many angry fans called 'The View' out on their intolerance of eating disorders."
On Thursday, Behar apologized for the comments, stating that they were just kidding. While the ladies at The View acknowledged that eating disorders are serious, they still continued to make light of the situation.
My Two Cents:

These women have gone way too far this time. How DARE they make light of a very serious disease that has KILLED many people?!

As heartless as Joy Behar is, I'm more angry and disgusted at Candace Cameron Bure for her comments. She knows the ugliness of eating disorders. Just because she had an eating disorder, does not mean that she can joke about it. Your religious label of Christianity means nothing if you are making light of something very serious. Bure needs to use her celebrity status to raise awareness and help those suffering from eating disorders, not enable the jokes and mockery of them.
Do these vapid women have any idea how triggering these comments are?

This show needs to be canceled. It is becoming damaging to anyone who is in a vulnerable state.
ABC, shame on you for allowing this trash on TV. If you have a heart and a soul, please take this show off the air.
