Last night, we all watched as our favorite stars congregated together to accept awards for their hard work throughout the year. As usual, many online news sites and bloggers were tuned into the Emmy's, going through every nook and cranny of the show with a fine tooth comb. Gawker sister site Jezebel was following the Emmy's last night and decided to post a rather appalling story about Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus lost an award to Kate Mckinnon and Jezebel was quick to slam Louis-Dreyfus' reaction.

Mind you, Julia Louis-Dreyfus lost her father on Friday. The 'Veep' star broke the news to her peers and viewers during an acceptance speech later on in the show.
Jezebel pretty much said that the actress needed to "smile more." The revelation that her father just died wasn't enough for Jezebel to take down the article. Not only is it still up, it casually mentions that her father died. There was no apology, no nothing.

Twitter was in an uproar following the publication. Fans and celebs alike came to the actress' defense and told Jezebel where to stick it. As of this afternoon, there are many comments on the article post, slamming the person who wrote it.

I have been an avid follower of Jezebel for many years now. I am sickened that the site allowed someone to post something so heartless. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, in my opinion, appeared to be incredibly strong for someone going through a horrible time. She is a class act. My thoughts go out to Julia Louis-Dreyfus during this painful time.

Jezebel, I am deeply disappointed in you. The person who wrote the article either needs to be fired, or they need to issue a public apology to Louis-Dreyfus.
