Melania Trump totally plagiarized Michelle Obama's 2008 speech!

Yesterday, the widely dreaded Republican National Convention began. Scores of Republicans descended into Cleveland, Ohio to do what they do best: be racist, be homophobic, be patronizing, and steal other people's material.

Melania Trump made a relatively bold impression at the convention on Monday. Sadly, it wasn't for her looks. It actually had to do with her speech. She stepped up to the podium, and in an instant, listeners were brought back to 2008 when First Lady Michelle Obama made the same speech.
Let's look at the comparisons, shall we?

Here is Melania's speech:
"My parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect. We want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them."
Now, here is Michelle Obama's speech from the 2008 DNC:
"Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect. We want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them."

Melania Trump told Matt Lauer on Monday that she wrote the speech "with as little help as possible." (No honey, you stole the majority of the speech from Michelle Obama!).
Early on Tuesday morning, Trump's senior communications adviser released the following statement:
"In writing her beautiful speech, Melania's team of writers took notes on her life's inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking. Melania's immigrant experience and love for America shone through in her speech, which made it such a success."
(Yeah, it is a beautiful speech. Michelle Obama really has a heart for America. She showed that to us in 2008 with this speech at the DNC).

My Two Cents

There are two types of people I hate: thieves and liars. Melania Trump knows damn well that she stole that speech from Michelle Obama. I don't know if she is devoid of her own ideas, or if she is a closet Obama fan, but she should at least use her own words if she is speaking in front of people. Better yet, she should have asked the First Lady for permission.

I really hope Donald Trump is NOT elected in November. People say that Hillary Clinton is a criminal, she is NOTHING compared to Donald Trump (and now Melania Trump).
