Trump announces ban on trans men and women from serving in the military

Just when you thought Trump couldn't sink any lower, he announces a ban on trans men and women from entering the military.
The President (of the third reich), announced in a series of tweets the following:

"After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you."

Last year, the Pentagon ended the ban on trans men and women from entering the military. They allowed trans men and women to serve openly and receive medical care.
Around the same time last year, Trump stated that he would "do everything in my power to protect LGBTQ citizens."

My Two Cents

Let me get this straight, Trump is pro-America, right? He is pro-military, right? Why in the blue hell is he banning patriotic American citizens from serving our country? Trans men and women have just as much, if not, more patriotism than anyone else. If you are a proud American, regardless of color, creed, sexual orientation, or gender orientation, you should be able to serve our country. Banning a community that wants to fight in our military just because they are "different" than you is as un-American as it gets. Not only that, it is abusive to the trans men and women who are already fighting tooth and nail to live their truth everyday. The transgender community already suffers daily abuse from ignorant bystanders, ignorant workplaces, and an ignorant society as a whole.

I'm absolutely disgusted. Sadly, though, I'm not surprised, given who people elected for US president. There is no United States of America anymore. We are divided. I have family members who proudly served this country, and I'm sure they are as just as disgusted by the ruling as I am.
