TV Docu-Series 'I Am Cait,' has become 'I Am Canceled.'

cj
Sorry fans of E!'s docu-series 'I Am Cait (are there still fans of this show?),' the show has just been canceled due to low ratings.

The show followed Caitlyn Jenner, who was born Bruce Jenner. After Caitlyn Jenner 'came out' as trans, she has been working hard to learn more about the trans community, and to also spread awareness about what it is like being trans.
Most of the first season was about 'coming out' to her family, and also learning about the history of the trans community. During the second season, we were introduced to many of Caitlyn's new friends, most of which were influential trans women. We saw Caitlyn struggle to connect with her friends on a political platform (Caitlyn held onto her Republican beliefs; many of the beliefs being homophobic and transphobic).

Production insiders report that trans viewers could not relate to Caitlyn Jenner, that she wasn't 'one of them.'

Even though the show is canceled, Caitlyn Jenner won't be without something to do. Along with furthering her trans awareness, she will also be seen on the next season of 'Transparent.'

My Two Cents

I'm glad that the show is canceled. The only time when it was worth watching was when her friends shared screen time with her.
What Caitlyn Jenner needs to understand is that she cannot be both Republican and an advocate for the trans community. Republicans HATE trans men and women. By being a spokeswoman for trans awareness AND a Republican, she is sending mixed messages. Some have even questioned if her transition was even real.

I have nothing against Caitlyn Jenner being trans. I love the trans community. I do, however, have a problem with her siding with those who discriminate against the trans community.
