Blake Shelton apologizes (sort of) for racist and homophobic tweets.

Blake Shelton released a relatively half-a**ed statement, along with a (sort of) apology for racist and homophobic tweets that he posted from 2009 to 2011. The tweets had resurfaced over the past weekend, causing a huge uproar.
Shelton, who took a few days to release his statement, posted the following to the public:
"Everyone knows comedy has been a major part of my career and it’s always been out there for anyone to see. That said anyone that knows me also knows I have no tolerance for hate of any kind or form. Can my humor at times be inappropriate? Yes. Hateful? Never. That said I deeply apologize to anyone who may have been offended."
Should we forgive him? Personally, I don't. He has a history of saying 'Trump-like' homophobic and racist comments. I don't care if you fancy yourself a comedian, it is NEVER okay to make racist and homophobic jabs.
Here are a few of his tweets:

Seriously, Gwen!? You left Gavin Rossedale for a racist, sexist, and homophobic redneck? You really are clueless!

As far as Blake Shelton is concerned, he is classless and ridiculous. He should be ashamed of himself.
Perhaps if he apologizes and actually MEANS it, maybe people would be less angry.
