Donald Trump is Time magazine's 'Person of the Year' (Seriously).

On Wednesday, Time Magazine named President-elect Donald Trump the 2016 Person of the Year. Hillary Clinton was, once again, the runner up.
Managing editor Nancy Gibbs made the announcement on the "Today" show.
"I’ve never seen so much agreement about who had the most influence. I don't think we have ever seen one person operating in such an unconventional way have an impact on events of the year quite like this."
Donald Trump called into the show, saying,
"It means a lot. It's a very important magazine. I consider this a very great honor."
The gratitude then turned sour as he spoke about Time's comment about his "divided America."
"I think putting 'divided' is snarky. I'm not president yet, so I didn't have anything to divide." 

My Two Cents
Time choosing this hatemonger as the Person of the Year adds salt into an already open wound. Yes, he has made a huge impact on our country. Unfortunately, it has been an extremely negative impact. The way he ran his campaign during the election is unforgivable and disgusting.

When it comes to Trump's reaction to the "divided country" comment, I just find it hilarious that he continues to bury his head in the sand. He divided this country during his campaign. Racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and more infected this country each time this clown opened his mouth. Anyone who wasn't a rich, white, straight, and Christian male, became public enemy #1. We are definitely not united in this country.

I think Time needs to redo their criteria for Person of the Year. I know that they choose someone who has had the most influence on news during the year. How about choosing someone who positively impacts the news during the year? Choose someone who has done some good in our country. There are people like that out there.
Shame on you, Time!
