Anyone who spent the entire 1990s as a tween and teen probably grew up watching "Saved By The Bell." We would tune in for new episodes every Saturday morning, and watch the show in syndication every morning on TBS. Us girls would swoon over Zack and/or Slater. Dudes would drool and rub one out to Kelly, Jessie, or Lisa. Of course, no one gave love to Screech (aka Dustin Diamond)
This is probably why Dustin Diamond penned a tell-all book about what allegedly happened behind-the-scenes of the hit show.
Here is what Dustin Diamond disclosed in his book:
Dustin Diamond talks about how much everyone hated each other on the show, and how everyone pretty much hated him.
He discusses how he hated Mario Lopez the most. He discloses that Lopez avoided a rape charge while the show was filming (I doubt that even happened).
Dustin Diamond talked about how Mark-Paul Gosselaar got caught urinating behind a dumpster (who HASN'T done that?!), and that he accidentally hit a bystander during a softball game. He pretty much called Mark-Paul Gosselaar a douchebag throughout the entire book.
He made Tiffani Thiessen sound like a slut and a bitch (which is FAR from the truth. I follow her on Twitter and she seems like a very sweet woman). He also kept talking about how fat Tiffani was.
Dustin Diamond is absolutely the worst possible parasite.
He thought Lark Voorhies was emotionally unhinged (He's one to talk!).
He saw Elizabeth Berkley as being a bad actress that "stole Tiffani Thiessen's sloppy seconds (my God Dustin is delusional)."
Oh and he calls out good ole Mr. Belding, Dennis Haskins. He says that Haskins did the show just to get women.
The rest of the book talks about how many females he has fucked (he claims 2,000) and he talks about a scandalous relationship that he had with an older woman (who happened to be an NBC exec. He said that the rest of the cast hung out without him, fucking each other (threesomes included) and they did drugs together (yeah right).
Dustin Diamond left no stone unturned. He even made a shout-out to his loving parents in the book. He said his parents spent all of his money.
Diamond's book has stirred so much controversy that Lifetime decided to make a movie about what went on behind-the-scenes on "Saved By The Bell."
The movie will star:
Sam Kindseth as Dustin Diamond
Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar
Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkley
Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen
Julian Works as Mario Lopez
Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhies
and Ken Tremblett as Dennis Haskins
The movie will premiere on Lifetime on September 1, 2014 at 9pm.
Here's the first footage of the movie:
How do I feel about the movie? As a die-hard fan of SBTB, I will definitely be watching it on September 1st. Watching the footage, I can't believe that the stars could have so much animosity toward one another. It just doesn't add up. I was a part of the fan club in the 1990s, and from what I remember, Dustin Diamond was MUCH younger than the rest of the stars. Of course he won't have anything in common with the rest of them, and they won't have much in common with him. What he should have done is gotten some therapy during the show to deal with his social issues.
Dustin Diamond is only making himself look like a total asshole with his book and this movie. I'm surprised that his former co-stars aren't putting a stop to the movie or suing him.
You know what? It sounds like Dustin Diamond needs a hug. He just needs a big ole hug and cry. But if he has really been with 2,000 women, I am NOT going to be the one to hug him. I will just send him a teddy bear.
Here you go, Dusty. Hug this!

By the way, I still think Dustin Diamond is a level 10 douchebag.
