Gene Simmons apologizes for comments about suicide and depression (and why I don't accept his apology)

After pissing off millions of people around the world with his disgusting comments, KISS frontman Gene Simmons issued an apology to people who suffer from depression and comments made about suicide.Last week, Simmons stated that people suffering from depression should just "go fucking kill themselves." He made that statement shortly after news of Robin Williams death sent shock waves across the globe.
After receiving a shit ton of backlash, he is now apologizing for causing so much pain to his fans and depression sufferers around the world.
Simmons issued the following statement:
"I sincerely apologize to those who were offended by my comments. I recognize that depression is very serious and very sad when it happens to anyone, especially loved ones. I deeply support and am empathetic to anyone suffering from any disease, especially depression.”While it must make him feel good that he apologized, I doubt anyone in this world forgives him. I for one don't accept his apology.
What has been said, cannot be unsaid. Someone could have killed themselves because of what HE said! Does Gene Simmons understand how depression works? No. Want to know why? He doesn't give two shits because he's rich, lives in a mansion, and swims in a pool filled with money. He doesn't give two shits about us "common folk." In his eyes, we are "beneath him."
He only apologized because his PR people MADE him. He still stands by his disgusting remarks.
Also, look at his track record. He's a misogynist. It is well known that he objectifies women (apparently he has slept with over 4,000 women). He endorses the Republican party. We all know that Republican conservatives are among the most hateful people in the entire world.
Sorry, Gene. You're still a vile monster and until you understand the damage you've done, your apology will always be dog shit. You've lost a lot of fans because of your comments. Hell, I actually know (former) KISS fans who are selling their shit on Ebay because of what you've said about depression sufferers. You can say "I'm sorry" for the rest of your life, but it doesn't mean shit until you truly understand what you're apologizing for.
