Halloween asteroid to 'trick-or-treat' past Earth this afternoon.

An asteroid only discovered just a few weeks ago will pass by Earth, missing the planet by nearly 310,000 miles. The asteroid is called 2015 TB145, and poses no threat to life on Earth.
The asteroid passed by Earth at 1:05pm EST and gave astronomy enthusiasts a spectacular view.

2015 TB145 is 1,300 feet wide. Our next close encounter with a large-sized asteroid will be in August of 2027. Asteroid 1999 AN10 will brush past us at a distance of 238,000 miles.

Why TNT did not air the season premiere of "The Last Ship."

TNT decided to postpone the season 3 premiere due to the tragedy that took place in Orlando, Florida in the early hours of Sunday morning. At least 50 people died, and another 53 were injured when a gunman opened fire at a popular club in Florida. Season 3 of "The Last Ship" was to open with gunshots being fired at a nightclub full of patrons. TNT has not announced a new premiere date for the season premiere of "The Last Ship." My Two Cents I am really glad that TNT had enough respect to postpone the premiere. Actor Wil Wheaton criticizes Paul Ryan's response to Texas Church shooting.

Ryan tweeted for a "call to prayer." Wheaton subsequently posted the following in response: "The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive, you worthless sack of s**t." After receiving a TON of backlash, Wheaton tried to explain his tweet in a series of later tweets: "Hey, real and actual people of faith: I hear you. I apologise for insulting you, in my rage at Paul Ryan's refusal to address gun violence." He also stated that Paul Ryan is someone who exploits his faith by hiding behind his words without conducting actual good deeds.
