Nicki Minaj throws shade at VMAs, Taylor Swift.

It's that time of year again, when MTV rewards artists that appeal to the younger demographic. Oversexed, synthesized artists are up for awards, and those whose 15 minutes of fame are over, act all butthurt when they are not nominated for the coveted Video of the Year award.
Such is the case for Nicki Minaj, who took to Twitter to call out the VMAs on their bullsh*t:
"If I was a different "kind" of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well. Ellen did her own anaconda video and did the #choreo lol. Remember her doing that kick 😩. Even mtv did a post on the choreo @MTV remember? U couldn't go on social media w/o seeing ppl doing the cover art, choreo, outfits for Halloween...an impact like that & no VOTY nomination? If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."
Oh how the mighty have fallen.

My Two Cents:

If Nicki Minaj wasn't nominated for the coveted trophy, it's because her music is appalling. You can't even call what she does 'music.' It's more like she's talking in a bratty voice while dry-humping the floor or the back up dancers.

What has happened to music? True artists put out music because they love it. They don't keep up with the trends. They do their own thing. This is why I have nothing but respect for indie artists. They love music. They believe in their lyrics. They couldn't give two sh*ts about pleasing the music suits.
As for Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" video, I watched it. It was absolutely horrific. It was 3 minutes of my life that I will never get back, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why people like that song.
As for body-shaming those that are thinner than you, Nicki, you need to grow up. You weren't nominated because you are OVER. People are sick of your voice and your attitude. You are nothing but a brat.

That's all I have to say about that. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
