Thirty-six year old British barrister Amal Alamuddin tied the knot with American actor George Clooney over the weekend.
It was an intimate ceremony that took place at the Aman Canal Grande located in Venice, Italy.

Celebrities, such as Matt Damon and John Krasinski were in attendance.
The relationship between Alamuddin and Clooney has been relatively low-key. Clooney shared the news of his wedding while at a charity benefit in Tuscany, Italy, saying:
"I would just like to say to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much and I can't wait to be your husband."

Alamuddin has represented many high profile criminals, the most famous of which is WikiLeaks narc, Julian Assange.

Meanwhile, folks here in the United States have been waiting for Clooney to get married at some point. He had stated many years ago that he would never get married or have children.
Well, I guess it takes the right woman to change any man's mind!

You might be wondering why an American, such as myself, would downplay George Clooney in the title of this post. Well, it is in tribute to Businesswoman's amazing as fuck article that was released yesterday. The article, entitled, "Internationally acclaimed barrister Amal Alamuddin marries an actor."
The article wanted to show the world just how important Alamuddin is, and that she is more than just a beautiful woman. She is an accomplished lawyer, author, and a multi-linguist. She speaks fluent English, French, and Arabic. She has won many awards, including the Exhibitioner, Shrigley award and the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award.

If you really want to know how amazing this woman is, she took time out of her busy schedule to serve on a panel for the Prevention of Sexual Violence Initiative. This panel works to gather evidence of sexual crimes that are being committed in conflict zones.

I wish this couple a long and happy life together.
As for Businesswoman, I absolutely loved the article and headline. It's awesome to see a news outlet that doesn't put celebrities on a pedestal, and doesn't speak only about a woman's outer beauty. I hate reading articles that make intelligent women out to be arm candy. Alamuddin is an accomplished woman and should be known as an accomplished woman.
Let's just hope that Mr. Clooney doesn't prevent this amazing lady from becoming even more of an amazing woman. She needs to conquer this world, goddammit!
