In no surprise to anyone with half a brain, Kirk Cameron's (failed) attempt to put Jeebus Christ back into Christmas has earned the 'Worst Picture,' 'Worst Actor," "Worst Screenplay," and Worst Screen Combo" awards.
The movie still holds a straight zero rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics from the LA Times said that the movie looks like it was just thrown together, like a 'empty-the-fridge-and-put-it-in-the-slow-cooker-with-rat-poison' type of production.
Whether or not Mr. Cameron showed up to the awards show remains to be seen.
Other movies that were honored at the Razzie Awards included:
- "Annie"
- "The Expendables 3"
- "Transformers: Age of Extinction"
- "The Other Woman"
- "Sex Tape"
- "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"
My Two Cents:
This does not surprise me one bit. I'm pretty sure even Jeebus himself is mortified by Kirk Cameron's fangirl of a movie. I wouldn't be surprised if Jeebus checked himself into the Witness Protection Program just to get away from psycho Cameron.
If Kirk Cameron thought that he would earn anything other than a Razzie Award, he is terribly mistaken. Even the trailer for his movie was cringe-worthy. I watched the trailer many times last year, trying to find anything positive to say about the movie. Unfortunately, the only ray of sunshine in that sh*tstorm of a trailer was when it ended.
I'm sure Mr. Cameron put his all into the movie, but he needs to accept the fact that he is finished in tinseltown. No one can stomach his personality, or his appearance for that matter.
My heart goes out to anyone who paid money to watch his movie. Personally, I'd rather watch "Gigli" or "Glitter" than "Saving Christmas."
